French, English, High School Biology and Economics
From 18.76 £ /h
I have experience tutoring French, to children and young adults. I am a dedicated tutor who is constantly trying to understand how to best tailor my teaching technique to the individual needs of the student. I assign homework after lessons that is specifically targeted to the skills.
High school biology and economics were my favorite IB subjects, and I would be confident to explain the concepts to high school students. I have already tutored younger students when I was in school.

About Me
Having grown up in Singapore but being of French nationality, an international education has made me an adaptable and curious person. Being pushed to learn how to speak publicly and engage with others in many different situations from a very young age have taught me to present ideas in an engaging and concise manner. The many activities I have been involved with in high school and university, like theatre productions, sports, and humanitarian work, have instilled in me the importance of discipline and organisation, empathy and communication skills, as well as a love for the greater significance of what we learn in school and university.
Education
Finished my second year of undergraduate at UCL, averaging first class honours grades in my Arts and Sciences degree.
United World College of South East Asia in 2015, where I received a bilingual IB diploma (I took both English and French A literature) with an overall score of 39. I received a 7 in Theatre SL, and French A (literature) SL, and a 6 in Economics HL, English Literature HL and Biology HL.

Experience / Qualifications
Past working experiences, for instance working at the trade section of the embassy of Brazil in Singapore, have shown me real life examples of the application of economic theory, which proved extremely helpful for my IAs. Furthermore, learning about biological anthropology, and immunology in UCL during my first year has solidified my knowledge of evolutionary and molecular biology.
During my gap year, I realised that I really enjoyed teaching as I taught French to young children on a weekly basis. I find teaching very rewarding, and I took special care in ensuring that my pupils not only understood the given material, but also enjoyed spending time to learn. I loved all of my IB subjects, and I believe that every student has the ability to score top grades in their subjects, given the right learning methodologies and the confidence to achieve their goals.
