I come from Hong Kong. I specialize in tutoring Classical, Pop, and Jazz guitar for beginners and intermediate students. My goal is to keep students combining theory with practice and make themself enjoyable with music. I assign exercises after every lesson. and provide videos to support students.

The first time I saw the guitar that's how I felt but also I was at a loss what the various parts that form the instrument were, what exactly are they for and what do they do. For many the shape and the decorations on the guitar body is a great puzzle that needs answers. In this introductory class my aim is to get you to derive more fun from, and deeper interest in the guitar as your favourite musical instrument. In the end you will be fully enabled to give a good account of your guitar body parts both to yourself and to other curious outsiders so to speak. It should turn your learning to play the guitar proper more of a fun and enjoyable experience as any guitar student who come under my tutelage should testify.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.
