About Me

I am a passionate and dedicated Biology and Chemistry tutor with a Bachelor of Education (Science) from the University of Nairobi. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts by breaking them down into simple, clear and practical explanations.
My teaching approach is patient, interactive and tailored to each student's learning needs. I use guided practice, questions, revision exercises and past papers to help students build both understanding and confidence.
I have experience teaching Biology and Chemistry and supporting students who were struggling academically. I have seen students make significant improvements in their performance, including helping a Chemistry class improve from a mean grade of C- to B+ and a Biology class from C plain to B+.
I particularly enjoy working with students who want to improve their grades, prepare for KCSE or strengthen their understanding of Biology and Chemistry. My goal is not just to help students pass, but to help them become confident and independent learners.

In order to meet the practical requirements of these professions, you need thorough preparation in the subjects of chemistry, physics and applied mathematics in addition to the German language certificate B1/B2. I am a retired German teacher who currently lives in Nairobi. I studied chemistry at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany and then taught chemistry, physics and applied mathematics for 40 years at a school for scientific and technical professions.
