Hi there! I'm Lynn, a languages and all culture-related enthusiast with a particularly keen interest in singing, storytelling and transdisciplinary art. Which in turn led me to be a freshly graduated Master-student in Performing Arts, with a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Letters where I primarily studied English as well as Russian linguistics and literature, along with a Dutch minor.

These university years gave me the opportunity amongst others to learn more in-depth about the subjects I was most passionate about during my Art Humanities, i.e. performance studies, philosophy, art - and cultural history, as well as literary/critical analysis of various different artforms.

Brought up bilingual (French-Dutch) from earliest infancy, I very early came to realise the many possibilities and encounters this opened up, which encouraged me to continue down this path of language learning and intercultural communication. At first, I was incredibly fortunate to benefit from the work of a truly invested and passionate English teacher during the scope of my humanities and to acknowledge all of the difference that it makes when learning a foreign language. Subsequently, prior to my studies I got the chance to travel to Ireland for a year during which I mainly worked as an au pair. This not only took my English to the next level, but also sharpened my childcare skills and pedagogical abilities.

Now that I've completed my studies and am opening up a new chapter of my working-life, I'm very excited to put all of this baggage to work along with you!
I wholeheartedly believe in the power of play and sharing fun, artistic and/or meaningful activities which help put things into practice in order to learn a new language in a lively, profound and sustainable way.

Courses for upper secondary school students of any option as well as university students having difficulties in science.

I have a Master's degree in physics with a teaching focus from ULB. I therefore have the agrégation (a teaching qualification) and am a secondary school teacher, and as mentioned, I hold a Master's degree in physics.

I place great importance on understanding the student's difficulties and overcoming them with them. I often start with a short reminder to put everything back in place, then I go through the student's course with them, redoing the exercises and inventing examples, while adapting the level of difficulty so that the session is productive. Finally, if desired, I leave exercises as homework to ensure that the student is able to test themselves and apply the concepts seen in class. The student can send me this homework, which I correct for free, with feedback.
