If you are a complete beginner, we will start with the Cyrillic alphabet, pronunciation, and useful everyday expressions, speaking Russian from the very first lesson. If you already have some knowledge of the language, we will focus on developing your speaking skills, expanding your vocabulary, and tackling more challenging areas, such as the Russian cases system and verbs of motion.

Grammar is introduced naturally, through concise explanations and practical examples rather than lengthy lectures. Where Russian and English differ, I will help you understand the underlying patterns so that you can use the language more accurately and confidently.

About Me

Hi! I'm a native Russian speaker, and I teach Russian, Spanish and English. I currently teach Russian online for a language school in London. Spanish and English are languages I learned myself, Spanish at university with a semester in Spain, so I know first-hand what it's like to learn a foreign language, make mistakes and slowly gain confidence.

My teaching approach is practical, friendly and student-centred. We spend most of the lesson in real conversation and everyday situations, and I explain grammar briefly, with examples and in context, rather than through long explanations. If you're learning Russian, lessons can be in English or Spanish, whichever you're more comfortable in.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ...
