Music Composition: Contemporary Techniques and Practices
From 32.22 £ /h
Harmony, melody, timbre, dynamics, articulations, rhythm: these are nearly all of the core musical components that you, as a student composer, will learn to master through study and practice. Studies include surveying masterwork scores, music theory, and music history. Practice includes writing chorales, form analysis, composition using contemporary techniques, and proper notation. Though this instruction is meant primarily for fairly seasoned musicians, beginners of all backgrounds are encouraged to join as well. If you're ready to enrich the music you compose, please request a time when we can meet. I look forward to helping you improve your talent!
