Welcome to My Guitar Courses I'm a graduate of the Kunstuniversität Graz with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Guitar and currently continuing my Master’s studies. With over 9 years of teaching experience—from my beginnings in Athens, Greece to my current base in Graz, Austria—I’ve worked with students of all levels and backgrounds. Every student is unique, so each course is tailored to your individual goals and musical interests. I am currently studying jazz guitar at KUG - Kunstuniversität Graz. I learned guitar at Conservatory for music and ballete in Ljubljana and I have been playing guitar for 12 years. I am a jazz guitarist but I can also offer you knowledge in other musical genres (classical music, funk, rock, pop, soul, etc.). I enjoy working with everyone who want to learn to play the guitar. I am looking forward to working with you!

Based on the student's needs and technical capabilities we will work together on a piece/song that a student might want to learn. Additionally, in order to improve the playing and to understand the piece better, we will work on the playing technique, harmony, and music theory of the piece/song.! It is possible for us to work in person also!

You can learn to play the classical guitar from the beginner to an advanced level on the lessons with me. My main goal is to teach my student very strong basic skills with which one can develop her-/himself later on her/his own. Hallo, Ich komme aus Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, und spiele Gitarre sehr gern! Deutsch: Von Anfänger bis University student, Ich kann dir E-Gitarre, Akustische Gitarre, oder Ukulele beibringen. Entweder ein paar Akkorde um deine Lieblingslieder zu spielen oder durch komplexerer Themen wie Jazz harmony. Ich lehre gern auch Musiktheorie/Komposition, also wenn du Theorie Nachhilfe oder Vorbereitung auf Universitätsprüfungen brauchst, dann kann ich dir damit auch helfen! Englisch ist natürlich meine Muttersprache, aber ich würde gern auch auf Deutsch unterrichten! With 16 years of guitar playing experience and Bachelors Degree in Jazz & Contemporary Popular music, I've had the opportunity to play Jazz, RnB, Folk/Singersongwriter, Bluegrass, Funk, Heavy Metal, Rock. From Jazz Bigbands and Musical Pitbands, to accompanying singer songwriters, to playing solo guitar concerts. I know how the guitar fits into many different types of ensembles and with many styles of music. I'm now studying a Master of Jazz Composition and Arranging at KUG in Graz and I love to help others understanding complex musical theory and how it can be used to write new music! I love writing music for Bigband, Classical Chamber ensembles, and small jazz ensembles as well as for singer-songwriters. English is of course my mother tongue but I would be happy to teach in German as well!

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques.
