However there is more to this style of music than what meets the eye and needs a bit more care attention than you may first think.
If you are looking to learn what makes a shred solo, what makes a riff catchy and what keeps the neighbours up at night this is the class for you.
Covering techniques from String Skipping, Hybrid Picking, Sweep Picking, Pinch Harmonics, Legato.
Wigs and leather not required.

About Me
Welcome Guys!
My name is Ryan, good to meet you! especially during these really bizarre times!
I am a highly experienced session and recording guitarist.
Over the past 10 years I have worked with bands, solo acts, tribute acts and also for myself.
From winning multiple UK talent competitions and band contests, recording with top 10 hitting artists and representing the UK in a European festival, music and guitar is definitely in my blood!
Being self taught I always found that most teachers would be more focused on taking the easy route, or taking hard earned money from unsuspecting students. My entire philosophy is to teach you the skills that will help you play along to some of your favourite artists, to help you understand how and why you are doing it but most importantly, to define YOUR voice and style. My approach is to make learning the guitar comfortable, exciting, fun and challenging.
For the past year I have been working in a full-time capacity onboard various different cruise liners in party bands, jazz bands, rock bands and as a sight reading musician in theatre shows onboard. Playing up to 4 hours a day, every day for the entire contract, which has only elevated my passion, approach and skills in both ear training and technique, skills that have helped me understand and develop a teaching technique I believe will help you be the best player you don't even know you can be!

Joe Satriani is a name that rings many bells for millions of players and listeners of instrumental guitar music. With hits such as Surfing With The Alien, If I Could Fly and Always With Me Always With You, Satriani paved the way for a new type of play style that sounds like something out of your favourite sci fi movie.
In this lesson my aim is to demonstrate and teach the techniques and ideas behind his playing style from very articulate skills such as Legato, Advanced Bends and the use of the Lydian Mode. This will also allow you to break out of the box you may feel like you're in and open for mind to new ideas!
Playing like Satch is no easy thing but with persistence and willingness to take on a challenge you can expand your ideas and skill.
