Whether it is songs you want to learn or music grades to prepare for, my lessons are tailor made for your enjoyment and progress.
I like to set goals for progress whilst encouraging my pupils to have fun as that is what music is all about!

About Me
I am originally from Northern Ireland and now live in London working as a professional session musician, teacher and songwriter. I am an experienced bass guitarist with a Bmus (Hons) Degree in Popular Music Performance and my aim is to provide lessons that will be tailor made to fit your playing ability and needs!

-Diploma from Tech Music Schools 2.1 Bmus (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Music Performance at University of West London
Other Qualifications
In 2019 I attended a two-day training course on Mental Health First Aid, offered by Music Support. I was taught how to recognise signs and symptoms related to mental health issues, as well as how to approach and offer help. I am now a trained Mental Health First Aider.

Volunteer Teacher at Girls Rock London since 2016
Girls Rock London is a non profit organisation that teaches young girls, trans and non binary folkhow to learn an instrument helping them gain self confidence and perform in a safe environment.At Girls Rock London I give lessons on the bass guitar to groups of up to 6 people, teaching the basics of the instrument.
Some of the campers at GRL have learning disabilities so part of my role is to
provide a safe space and an encouraging environment for everyone to learn and feel
welcome.
Volunteer Band Coach at Girls Rock London 2018
In 2018 I had a new role as a band coach working with a group of young people aiming to write a song andperform it as a band. My job was to facilitate the band in writing music and create a safe creative space for
them.
Private Teaching 2013- Present
I am a freelance teacher giving private lessons in peoples homes and in my own house providing lessons on the bass guitar and beginner guitar. I have taught a wide variation of styles with students who are ranging from beginner to advanced on the bass guitar. I have experience teaching children and adults with learning disabilities.
My qualifications and playing experience mean I tailor my lessons to the individual so I am able to teach sight reading, grades, aural training, tablature and technique. I also have experience preparing students for Trinity Rock School Grades.
Musician Experience
Session Musician 2013- Present
I have been working as a freelance session musician for years with this role giving me hands on experience of playing live and working in the music industry.
In 2019 and 2020 I have been working with the company Folk Dance Remixed performing in shows across the U.K where my part includes acting, choreographed dancing and performing wireless with a bass onstage.
I have taken part in tours in U.K, Europe and India playing bass for different artists recently including rock band Gaygirl, Pop Idol Winner Natalie Gauci and Mckenzie Brown (Disney High School Musical).
Composer 2013 -Present
History Of Clouds Tour 2014 and 2017
Commissioned to compose music to commemorate the poet Hans Magnus
Enzensberger. I wrote music based upon the thematic material of Enzensbergers
poetry and then performed 30 pieces with other composers and musicians.
This tour took place in India and Bangladesh, home to the prestigious Seagull publishing
company. Performances included the Goethe institute in Calcutta, Dehli and Mumbai, The
Bangladesh Poetry and Literature Festival and the newly commissioned Calcutta
University.
