Biology, Chemistry and Maths Tutoring at GCSE and KS3 Level
From 25 £ /h
I am a an experienced tutor with a genuine passion for teaching and offer personal tutoring in KS3 and GCSE maths and science. With a medical degree, an A grade at `A` level in chemistry, maths and biology and 11 A*s at GCSE, I have both the academic background and experience to offer tailored, interactive and structured lessons to suit my students` needs. I began tutoring in my final year of medical school, with my first client achieving three grades above their predicted grade in their maths GCSE and have further experience teaching and presenting to medical students and doctors. With an approachable manner and the ability to create a relaxed and engaging learning environment, I can help students achieve their potential and boost their knowledge and confidence for important upcoming exams.
My tutoring approach:
Offering sessions both in person and online, I tend to arrange an initial meeting to discuss which topics and areas my student would like to cover, whilst getting a feel for their learning style. I then pre-plan my lessons to cover these topics in turn and through the use of tailor-made resources ensure they are interactive and encourage active learning. At the beginning and end of each lesson I use practice questions to gauge understanding of the topic and monitor progress.
Through adapting my teaching style to suit each individual client, I do my best to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable and keen to interact and ask questions.
