About Me

At the core, my priority is to create a relaxed learning environment for my students, which I believe is the key in getting my students fully comfortable with engaging, and most importantly, asking questions and identifying weaknesses to work through together. In a typical lesson, I like to run through what my students have done recently in school, and any topics they’d like to focus on, and take a very exam-style based approach to learning. This will include looking at what exactly the paper requires you to know, the depth of knowledge you need, and typical questions. I like to use visual aids, especially as these lessons are virtual, so usually, a typical lesson will involve lots of interaction from you too! Whether this is filling in gaps, having a go at questions yourself, or going through how to work through a question together. With my experience teaching a range of students of varying ages and abilities, I have learnt that the best approach to teaching is adaptability! I like students who will be honest with me, and tell me what they like and don’t like my teaching so I can adapt to ensure they get the most out of their lessons. I try my very best to adapt to how a student learns, whether this is with visual aids, more lecture style, or a mix, adapting to the varying needs of each student and find the perfect technique tailored for them.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to participate.

The SAT is a landmark exam for many high school students. A good exam score can be instrumental in college admissions. This course is designed to provide students with resources to set a goal score, make a study plan, and feel confident on test day. I got a 1530 on my most recent SAT, and I am dedicated to uplifting students to and beyond that score.
I can help specifically with the English and Math multiple choice parts of the exam. With students I will cover both content, the information being tested on the exam, and testing strategies, how to more efficiently and effectively take the test. The essay portion of the SAT has mostly been discontinued, so I don't cover it when tutoring for the exam.
