    About Me

I am an academic research chemist.
I have significant experience in teaching, although my usual jive is doing wet chemistry in a laboratory (which I've been doing for the past 15 years). When it comes to chemistry, I'm very enthusiastic and I'm happy to share that enthusiasm with anyone and everyone who wants to learn!

While lectures and classroom learning are often hands-off and can be boring, I'm determined to make chemistry engaging and memorable. Together we'll work through problems and topics at your pace in a way that helps you learn rather than memorise outcomes.

I can offer tutoring and remedial lectures in general chemistry, organic, inorganic, organometallic and polymer chemistry at the university level.

I believe that learning is a two-way street and my students get out as much as they put in from a class. I'm the kind of tutor/professor that expects my students to be ready to learn and I have high expectations that students will be prepared with their own questions.

    Education

Bachelor of Science, Honours Chemistry (2007) - specialisation in early transition metal complexes
PhD Organometallic Chemistry (2013) - specialisation in f-block actinide chemistry and catalysis
Postdoc in Organometallic Chemistry (2013-Present) - specialisation in catalysis and first row transition metal chemistry

    Experience / Qualifications

I've been a guest lecturer at the University of Ottawa and Simon Fraser University in Canada several times in the past 5 years.
I have ample experience as a tutor and lecturer in chemistry from my undergraduate and graduate education.
This class is designed as a question and answer tutoring session with one-on-one help from a highly qualified and experienced university level chemistry lecturer. Topics that can be discussed include (but are not limited to): - Stoichiometry (converting between molecular weight, grams and mols and balancing chemical equations) - Chemical bonding (VESPR theory, electronic structure, atomic and molecular orbitals) - Solutions and mixtures (calculating concentrations and stock solution conversion) - Acids and bases (calculating pH, pKa and pKb) - Thermodynamics (enthalpy, entropy, free energy and diagrams) - Redox chemistry (balancing equations, determining oxidation state change) This class is not intended to replace your ongoing lectures and coursework in general chemistry, but should be used in addition to help strengthen your understanding of core concepts and prepare for midterm and final examinations. NB: I am able to teach to small groups (up to 6) in addition to one-on-one sessions. The cost per session may vary depending on additional students.
This class is designed as a question and answer tutoring session with one-on-one help from a highly qualified and experienced university level chemistry lecturer. Topics that can be discussed include (but are not limited to): - Functional Groups and Resonance Structures - Stereochemistry (chirality and enantiomers) - Substitution and Elimination Reactions (Sn1, Sn2, E1, E2) - Arrow-pushing Mechanisms - Acid-Base Chemistry - Synthetic Methods (e.g. Gringard reactions, metal catalysed transformations, etc.) - Spectroscopic Methods (IR, Raman, NMR analysis) This class is not intended to replace your ongoing lectures and coursework in general chemistry, but should be used in addition to help strengthen your understanding of core concepts and prepare for midterm and final examinations. NB: Remedial lectures can be provided on a case by case basis if requested. I am able to teach to small groups (up to 6 students) at once, but the price per group may vary.
Need some extra one-on-one time for learning chemistry? Want a more in depth discussion focused on your needs in the classroom? Missed a few lectures and need to catch up? I am a highly qualified chemistry lecturer at university level and am able to teach remedial lectures and/or can prepare individually tailored lectures to help you through your chemistry journey. NB: The listed price is a starting price and may change depending on the needs and requested topics. I am also able to offer a group session (up to 10 students) for exam/midterm prep.

Maths and Physics Tutoring and Homework Help for Pre-University Students
I can provide assistance with difficult areas within mathematics or physics, constructing lesson plans that center around specific topics, or simply go through homework. I can help you study for a test or an exam, or even go outside of the curriculum if there are areas that you're particularly interested in and would like to dive deeper into. I am able to tutor both on location and online.

French Class at your home with French native for everyone
Hello, I'm a French student studying for a Master's degree in Political Science at Lund University. I offer French classes for all ages. I have experience in this field, having given lessons in France. For our lessons, I focus on a pedagogy centered on the student's personality, curiosity and expectations. We'll have the opportunity to learn through activities, a single concept per lesson and mobility during the course. We do the course together and have fun! I'm bilingual in English, so I can accompany students in both languages.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacher
I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

i want to teach mathematics for students of class 1-7
My classes are designed to make learning simple, fun, and stress-free for students from Grade 1 to Grade 7. Each session is tailored to the student's level and learning pace. I focus on building a strong understanding of core subjects like Math, English, and Science through clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and regular practice. I use interactive tools like visual aids, online whiteboards, and short quizzes to keep students engaged. Whether it’s homework help, test preparation, or strengthening basics, I make sure students feel confident and supported. Every class is friendly, encouraging, and student-centered — where no question is too small, and every success is celebrated.
