I am a fully qualified primary teacher who has taught both in the UK and internationally. I have over 25-years' classroom experience teaching children from Year 1 to Year 6, especially those with English as an additional language. I taught for 20 years in the UK, before moving to the international sector where I have worked in Myanmar, China and Bangkok for the top-tier schools of Dulwich College and Bangkok Patana School. I have extensive knowledge and understanding of the U.K. education system at Primary level.

In addition to being a classroom teacher, I provide 1:1 personalised tutoring. I teach both English and mathematics, helping to extend able students and also support those needing extra catch-up. My lessons are interactive and engaging with lots of opportunities for you to talk – learn from your mistakes – practise new skills – review your learning – and of course use games and technology to make learning enjoyable. About Me

I'm Chris, a fully qualified primary teacher who has taught both in the UK and internationally in Asia. I have over 25-years' experience teaching primary school children, especially those with English as an additional language. I'm keen to help you improve your skills in English and maths. I love teaching, travelling, swimming and exploring new countries and cultures.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Education degree which qualifies me to teach in primary schools. I also have U.K. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), which qualifies me to teach in primary schools in the UK from Year 1 to Year 6.

I have worked at inner-city London schools, and for top international schools in Bangkok, Shanghai and Yangon. I use a friendly, patient and supportive approach, with plenty of opportunities for discussion, practice, and use of IT to engage and make learning fun in every lesson.

My experience includes working with many children and families who do not speak English as their first language. I pride myself on building safe, caring and supportive relationships between all students and their families.
