About Me

I am a certified and experienced teacher from Canada who has lived in several countries abroad. My passion for traveling started at a young age, when I went to Spain for the first time, at 10 years old. Since then, I always had a passion for other cultures and learning how people pick up another language. In many countries I lived in, I spent time learning the local language there so I can understand the frustrations one goes through as well as the patience needed to learn.

We will be doing learning activities based around decimals & fractions between grade 4-6. We will practice together using online platforms (like jamboard!), play games in partners (to build up the confidence to learn about the topic) and we will use lots of fun learning resources (in order to engage each student and not just listen to a teacher give a lecture). I will teach using lots of visuals, such as photos, google slides, websites, games & project based learning, where students will be able to demonstrate their work at their own pace (without feeling the need to compete against others in the class).

Learning with dyslexia, ADHD, or any other learning difficulty can be frustrating. Especially when you are expected to study in the same way as everyone else, despite your brain just working differently. I know this from personal experience.

I am a law student with dyslexia and ADHD, and over the years I have developed practical strategies that have helped me study, stay organised, and succeed academically. I now want to share those tools with children, teenagers and adults who may be facing similar challenges.
