About Me

Learning a language is about much more than simply memorising grammar rules or vocabulary lists. It is about discovering a new way of communicating, understanding a culture and building self-confidence.

Passionate about languages, literature and intercultural exchange, I completed a preparatory course in classical literature (studying Latin, Ancient Greek and an optional theatre module). This course of study enabled me to develop a solid general knowledge, a love of the French language and a keen appreciation of the richness of texts and expression.

I then went on to complete a Master’s degree in multidisciplinary translation, during which I deepened my knowledge of foreign languages (English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and German). I was also fortunate enough to take part in an Erasmus exchange in Denmark, which gave me a better understanding of the challenges faced when learning a foreign language.

Thanks to my academic background and my experience in private tuition of French and English, I now support learners wishing to improve their French as a foreign language. I adapt my approach to each individual’s profile and goals: whether that’s improving speaking skills, building confidence, preparing for a career, settling into life in France, or simply discovering the French language and culture.

I first attended a preparatory course (2 years of "CPGE littéraire") in classical literature (Latin and Ancient Greek, with theatre as an optional subject). Then, I completed a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in multidisciplinary translation in English and the Scandinavian languages in Mons, Belgium.

Experience / Qualifications

I was lucky enough to take part in an Erasmus programme in Aalborg, Denmark. After completing my studies, I did a translation internship in English and German, and then worked as a cultural mediator (welcoming French-speaking and non-French-speaking visitors and tourists, presenting exhibitions and leading guided tours). I have also given private tuition in French and English, as well as homework support. I am able to adapt to different learners of all ages and levels.
