What are we going to learn?
Pronunciation - we will learn how to accurately pronounce Russian sounds.
Speaking skills - we are going to focus on developing speaking skills in form of short dialogues in real time situations
Reading skills: Understanding of short texts.
Writing skills: we will learn how to write extended paragraphs and how to express yourself in a written form.
Grammar we will cover basic grammar points, such as common verbs, gender of the nouns/adjectives, pronouns and much more.
Listening skills: we will work on understanding spoken Russian

Extra information

Make sure you have a stable Internet connection and up-to-date laptop, a notebook and a pen to write down your answers for the tasks we will be doing. If you have a Russian-English dictionary, that would be handy.
At the end, I will send you the lesson content in PowerPoint or PDF format as well as homework.

I hold MA in Translation Studies and BA in Spanish Language and Literature and Russian Studies. To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

For adults, I offer online "Free Talk" classes. These classes are very popular and are ok for any age. I currently have a group class of people aged 60s to 80s. If you want to talk about daily life, news, hobbies, traveling, etc. and enjoy speaking English, then this is a good class to do it. Usually a 1-hour class is best as it gives plenty of time.
