COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will train the student to give effective presentations in the classroom and in other professional circumstances. It also focuses on instilling and developing confidence in the student as a speaker both in public and private interactions. The student will also receive training that will assist in refining and improving his or her voice – this will be particularly centred on correct pronunciation, projection, diction, as well as control of tone and pitch. Finally, the student will learn and practice effective presentation techniques that can improve the quality of his or her performance in a wide variety of speaking situations.

Course assessment will include a mix of in-course assignments, presentations and workshops which will be conducted throughout the semester. In-course assessments sum to 100% of the students’ final grade and will result in the student either obtaining a pass / fail on final completion of all given assessments

Goals/Aims
The goal of this course is to ensure that each student will learn the essentials of effective public speaking, and will develop a strong professional/speaking voice.

This course aims to:

* Give students as much practical speaking experience as possible.
* Empower students with speech confidence.
* Reduce communication apprehension.
* Equip students with speech outlining, topic selection, and delivery skills for the wide array of public speaking needs that they will have in their careers and in their personal circumstances.
* Enable students to better critically analyse and evaluate their own and others’ speeches.
* Help students develop strong listening skills and behaviours which will improve their ability as communicators and also assist them in being able to assimilate information quickly and sustainably.
* Better develop persuasion, group communication, and interpersonal skills in students.
* Assist students in integrating “best practice” into their public speaking performances.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.

I have a thorough knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for middle and high school (from 6th to 12th grade). I am also qualified to support students in preparing for international exams such as the SAT, the OMPT, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in all its variations: Analysis and Approaches (AA SL/HL) and Applications and Interpretation (AI SL/HL).

Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. The strength of my teaching approach lies in my ability to explain, in simple terms, anything a student finds complicated. I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. METHODOLOGY
Learn dance and let talk about your body / emotions, make the difference in the evening ("social dancing") or prepare an event (wedding for example): Focused on pedagogy, technique and pleasure, the dance space offers personalized and individualized courses of Salsa (porto on 1, Cuban), Bachata, Merengue, Kuduru-African dance, Zouk Antillais, Zouk Brazilian (pop music) (...) according to your desires.

Objective: to adapt to your request and your desire. In the eyes of many neophytes, a couple who dance well performs spectacular figures. To dance is to tell / live together a story, to produce beauty in movement and to make the steps, the attitudes and the connections between the various actions aesthetic / harmonious. This fluidity is born of emotion, felt and transmitted.

Simplicity, communication, listening, sharing, emotion, valorization of the other: it is, in addition to technical knowledge (body expression, rhythmic, visual), what you will improve during this training at evolutive levels. In a friendly atmosphere, you will be taken in hand whatever your initial level. Objective: a combination between on the one hand, intuition / feeling / improvisation and on the other hand, technique. It is possible to take the course in couple or solo.

According to your desire, it is possible to propose 70% of a 1st dance, 30% of another complementary dance, the bases of the one influencing the other.

Whether you are preparing a "choreography" for a special event (wedding, birthday, work, etc.), a show or simply looking to improve your skills to impress on the dance floor, the final learning of these courses consists in :

* perform a beautiful interpretation of the music with appropriate movements, in addition to performing a dynamic work that involves a footwork and body movements adapted

* execute an appropriate technique that will allow you to shine quickly on the dance floor, relying on the strong point of private lessons

* Set up style, movement, footwork, and adjusted body coordination, allowing for rapid dance progression, while taking advanced base steps and a variety of movements, allowing you to not only acquire a sensual style but also to improve his own improvisational abilities, focusing on the characteristics of modern dance.

* work on your balance, your musicality, your body strength (...), while having fun, while you train and radically improve the coordination of your body.

In summary, these courses are at the beginner level (basic steps with some general variations), intermediate (faster speed and more concentration on technique, body mechanics, control, footwork, posture, balance and more complex movements) or advanced (for slightly more experienced dancers).

Statistically, the progression following these private sessions is quickly noticeable, from 2 or 3 sessions *. (* study 2020)

To respond to requests received, it is indeed possible to offer this course (birthday, party, christmas, event ...) to the person of your choice.
