About Me
Hello,

I am currently studying economics and management after a somewhat atypical course (> <baccalaureate in sociology / anthropology). In this case, a choice of heavy scale, give up teaching music for the benefit of university studies.

Indeed, I had the chance to spend my childhood in various music academies (5 in total). I started the practice of accordion at the age of 6, so it's been 15 years since I played this instrument. Regarding the practice of the violin, it came to me during my high school studies at the same time as my entry to the GPEI.

When it comes to learning music, I adapt as much as possible to the student's expectations. Since I know the difficulties related to solfeggio, I seek in some ways, working bias to be able to evolve and discover the concepts in a pedagogical way and somewhat different ... In particular by the solicitation of the work of the ear, listening which is an indispensable object for musical comprehension.

I adapt well enough to each student profile. Whether for children or for adults. I have already taught the accordion through several courses and I remain active through my different groups. For students wishing to do the conservatory superior to classical accordion, I can conduct very specific training on a type of game but also recommend good addresses.

Learn ukulele with me in Brussels. The ukulele's small size, lightweight, and strings that are easy to press down make this instrument one of the easiest to play. Learning to play the ukulele can deliver huge benefits including improved memory, coordination, and stress relief to everyone ranging from small children to seniors. The ukulele is also one of the easiest stringed instruments to learn to play, making it an excellent stepping stone for other stringed instruments like the guitar.

I have always been passionate about music, I play three instruments, and I recently finished my piano studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Piet Kuijken. I have always found that the end goal of music was sharing, and that's why I orient myself strongly towards everything that is done in groups: chamber music, orchestra, but also teaching, via which I can also share my passion.
My course is for everyone: do you want to start from scratch? No problem, I also give lessons in music theory and musical culture which will make a perfect complement to make you a complete musician.
Have you already had lessons at the academy but want a more personalized or just a different approach? I offer methodical monitoring for each student and I adapt my course to all profiles. Do you want to prepare for an exam (academy or conservatory entrance)? I become your personal coach and invest myself personally in your success.
My course is aimed at students who want to learn technique and repertoire methodically as well as at those who want to learn for fun or for the purpose of learning a specific piece.

Courses and Training:

Graduated in Musicology, my specialization in Singing at the IMEP (Conservatory of Namur) and in accompanying music on the accordion led me after my studies to give singing lessons in a music school (Cap sur le Music in Kraainem), as well as musical awakening in different schools, via Les Jeunesses Musicales.
Being also an ethnomusicologist, I like to work with repertoires from other horizons, both singing and accordion.
Currently working part-time at Outhere Music (production and distribution house of classical and jazz music), I have the chance to discover on a daily basis a large quantity of various repertoires, likely here to be the subject of discoveries for the student, depending on their different future artistic aspirations.
Passionate about CVT (complete vocal technique) since 2021 and trained in postural and psycho-behavioural muscle chains (GDS method), my goal is to get the student to explore his vocal universe as broadly as possible, while increasing his body awareness with each lesson.

Approach & repertoire:

I attach great importance to body awareness, presence and movement, as well as the overall well-being of the student. Having also followed a training in Mindfulness, I like to mix a therapeutic approach with the artistic work accomplished with the student.
Starting from the student's musical desires and aspirations is also essential for me. I therefore aim for personalized support that respects its own achievement objectives.
My methodology aims at learning the technique through play and body movement, both for singing lessons and musical awakening.
No prerequisite in music is necessary (neither music theory nor other).

Musical Awakening for children (individual or semi-collective – from 1 to 6-7 years old):

With young children, I try to multiply awakening approaches using senses other than just hearing, both by learning gesture songs and rhythmic activities. The activities of dance or development of the ear by listening are of course omnipresent. I work on psychomotricity and seek to discover new instruments, as well as the different repertoires which are connected to them.
I work on several levels (passive and active) and different scales of difficulty according to ages and possible interactions in small groups, in order to anchor learning and awakening over time.
Breath work is also on the program.

Without any music theory prerequisites, this method of working by ear allows you to work on your musical ear and with support (tabs, scores).

Progressive method adapted to the student: discovery and handling or deepening of the instrument, work on melody (pushed/pushed, crossed), nuances, left/right hand harmony, rhythms, chords and accompaniments, awareness of improvisation and developing one's own playing.
Learning the basics of music theory if necessary and gradually for a better understanding of music and the instrument.

Possibility of renting a 2-row G/C accordion (subject to availability)

We will explore the world of electronic music, starting with the basics of sound synthesis and moving on to multi-channel diffusion in 3D audio.
We will see how the most widely used software in the world of electronics (Max/MSP, Ableton, Reaper) works to build performance environments, where we will be able to use the most popular plugins for signal processing or create our own processing engine.
MIDI protocol configuration for controllers, OSC, construction of small electronic circuits with the help of Arduino.
We will pay attention to the acoustic and psychoacoustic aspects of sound that are fundamental for the correct diffusion and listening of music.
We will also take a look at the main audio recording techniques.
As I am very passionate about this and have the necessary equipment, we will have the opportunity to see analog synthesis up close through the use of modular synthesizers.
