Hi! I am a GCSE, AS maths and 11+ maths tutor with over 3 years teaching maths to children of all ages. I am a kind and patient teacher, and understand that maths skills do not come easily to everyone, and they key to success is repetition and patience! Hi! I am a friendly maths teacher with several years experience teaching maths, and having completed GSCE and A-level maths myself know the struggles of trying to grasp difficult concepts and modules by yourself! My experience : During 2017/2018, I worked for an association, where I usually took care of adults or children groups, that had various issues (addiction, waiting for a visa, disability...) helping them to learn French, integrate into the society or just make friends and have fun. I also took care of three children last year in addition of my studies. During summer 2017, I worked for a fashion group called Sandro as a seller. That helped me being confident talking and helping people I don’t know.

Over the summer I will help students consolidate the work they have done in the school year, with the option of extension work that goes beyond the curriculum. We begin with a topic of the student's choosing. After a few sessions, I may suggest topics that I feel could be underlying the student's difficulties. My methodology: I strongly believe in active recall and spaced repetition. The book I swear by is called Make It Stick by P Brown, H Roediger and M Mcdaniel. We will go over the content first followed by one to two exam questions. Homework will be more questions for active recall. I will mark all your homework before our lesson and we will go over everything that was challenging.

At the end of a topic, we will go over mock exams and keep them fresh in our minds (spaced repetition). I can also assist in university choices, applications and advice. I'd also recommend reading the book mentioned above, too!
