I am excited to offer my new classes I recently developed while teaching in NYC at a children's music school. My initial approach will first be to understand the desires within my student (aka the artist)
While I can teach beginner music theory, I do not believe this is necessary for one to write music. However, if the student would like to understand this, I can provide lessons on general theory. My primary intention is to identify the student's core strengths and use them to help them create the music that they wish to create.
I have collaborated with artists like Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon's bass player) Itaal Shur (Multi-Grammy award winner and Composer of "Smooth" by Santana) and Haydn Bendall (Kate Bush's chief engineer)

About Me
I believe that people create better and learn more effectively when they are learning what fascinates them personally. If you want to learn music, my primary intention will be to teach you what you love the most. A song you want to learn, or a song you want to create.
For those coming to me to learn English, I will make sure that we learn the language through real life experience and contact rather than text book. Relying on the brain for memorization can be overwhelming and can create short term results. What you will learn from me will be long lasting because I will help guide you to questions that you ask and that you answered for yourself.

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and have lived in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and multiple countries outside of the USA. Both my mother and sister are Montessori school teachers and I myself started in a Montessori school and graduated from a from a Montessori high school. I went to one of the first Montessori high schools in Ohio. Just to clarify, Montessori is not anything to do with religion. It is just a method of teaching that focuses on learning through life experience rather than text book.
