About Me
Throughout my musical formation I was very lucky to have great teachers who imparted their knowledge of singing and vocal technique. As professional vocalist and performer, I feel grateful for the training I have received. In my own teaching, I strive to be able to do the same for my students regardless of whether or not they seek a professional career in Music. Anyone can benefit from learning to sing, regardless of age or level of experience. Singing is physical training, and learning to sing can be a lesson in patience, as well as discipline and resolve. It is also a lesson in opening up emotionally and spiritually and can prove to be a liberating practice which can help to develop confidence and self esteem. I love to teach singing as much as I love to sing, and it would be my pleasure to help you train and discover your singing voice.

Trained in Grandes Ecoles in France and the United States (Ivy League University), our teacher has specialized and has been working for more than 15 years, in North America and Europe, in the field, in international establishments renowned, and oriented on one axis: effective training with pedagogy and meticulous methodology as the watchwords.

My teacher's credo

As an opera singer, I have had the opportunity to perform on international stages while continuing to teach, which is a true vocation for me.

In vocal pedagogy, I believe that each student is the bearer of a unique instrument: their voice. This is why it is essential to adapt teaching and methodological tools to the individuality of each student. This approach allows me to conduct my classes in a variety of ways, choosing the most relevant vocal exercises or repertoire pieces to reveal the individual potential of each voice.

My technique is based on:

* in-depth breathing exercises,
* awareness of the whole body as an instrument,
* understanding the biological principles of breathing and its artistic role,
* the development of a free and resonant vocal emission.

My main objectives are to:

* maintain a feeling of high vocal position, awareness of resonant cavities in singing,
* work on the purity and continuity of vowels (legato), work on diction (Italian, German, French, etc.)
* gradually develop the tessitura,
* harmonize and balance the different vocal registers.

Finally, I place great importance on the student's personal development. Building a voice also means supporting an artistic personality: this involves guiding each student toward a repertoire adapted to their stage of vocal development, while nurturing their sensitivity and self-confidence.

I am Adeline, a classical singing teacher for over 20 years. After working for 17 years in Munich, Germany, I returned to France in 2023. Since 2024, I have been offering private classical singing lessons in Paris in the 9th arrondissement.

The courses are aimed at beginners, singers in training, conservatory students and experienced singers.
My work focuses particularly on the singer's breath, posture, and movement. My specialization lies in breathing and posture techniques developed under the tutelage of phoniatrist Nicole Charpy. I have also trained in the Feldenkrais Method.

My journey has been built around singing, music and physical work.
From the age of 7, I studied piano and classical dance. At 16, I began singing and continued my training at several conservatories, notably in Troyes, Paris, and Cachan, where I completed my studies with a Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM). Simultaneously, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Musicology from the Sorbonne.

Richard Miller's teaching, as passed down by Olivier de Tournemire, profoundly influenced my approach to vocal technique. I also furthered my studies with sopranos Christine Schweitzer and Sylvia Greenberg.

I am also interested in positive psychology and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), which I integrate into my teaching.

As a singer, I participated in the creation of two chamber operas in Paris. I then joined the Camerata Baroque as a soloist and chorister, performing several opera and operetta roles and appearing in numerous classical and baroque music concerts. I have also sung with several renowned ensembles and at several festivals.

In 2004, a temporary teaching position led me to discover the world of vocal coaching, a vocation I chose to pursue. Living in Munich from 2006 to 2023, I taught at the Munich Adult Education Center (Münchner Volkshochschule) and the Munich Music Institute (Münchner Musikinstitut Genima), gave private lessons, and collaborated with the Franco-German Choir of Munich. I also maintained a regular concert schedule, performing in recitals and at cultural events.

Now based in Paris, I continue my teaching activities while developing new musical projects.

I teach lyrical singing during a lesson which is broken down into two sequences: first work on pure technique, based on muscular coordination with breath, breathing and posture. Then, depending on the student's level, interpretation work on one or more pieces, putting the technique into practice, to which we add actual musical work.

Fundamental Thought:
ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SING!
It's important to know this!
The singing voice is part of our human capabilities, it's just not taught in our culture, but EVERYONE can learn!

FOR WHOM:
This course is for anyone who wants to learn to sing, speak in public, or improve their speaking voice.
Children, teenagers, and adults alike, there's no age limit to start learning ;)
Whether you are a complete beginner (and wish to develop a healthy and solid foundation) or an intermediate (to continue to evolve and develop your technique) this is the right place for you and I would be delighted to accompany you on this exciting journey towards the singing voice!

MINDSET:
- First of all, we always work with gentleness, kindness and joy ; )
Singing is a very intimate act, which puts us in a form of vulnerability, so it is essential to work with confidence to feel free to experiment, to make mistakes and to evolve healthily.
The goal is to develop technically and artistically, at your own pace, and with joy!
- It's important to be kind to yourself: learning vocal technique can take time; it requires patience, perseverance, and confidence to see results ;)

POSITIONING:
My teaching method is simple: find what works for you, in relation to your goals and what challenges you.
I constantly adapt my approach and exercises to the student I have in front of me.
We always start from what the body can do (the spoken voice) to take it towards the singing voice.
We never work by force or against the body's natural processes: we always strive for a healthy vocal technique, free from tension and pain ;)

PROCEDURE:
During the first lesson, we will start by taking stock of the situation, seeing what is already in place and what needs to be worked on.
Afterwards :
- Vocal preparation (warm-up),
- Technical exercises (to progress towards the defined objectives),
- Work on the song of your choice (to put it into practice).

*///*NEW: MONTHLY GROUP WORKSHOPS*///*
What is this ?

- A workshop ONCE A MONTH on a weekend (in principle)
- In small groups (5 to 8 people)

How does it work?

A short group warm-up.
You play a song excerpt.
The group and I provide constructive feedback.
You experience a mini individual coaching session (but with the group as an audience and support for objective feedback).
Once all the individual coaching sessions are finished, everyone plays their song a second time and we observe everyone's progress :)

With the following objectives:
- To meet interesting people (other private tutoring students).
- To experience a moment together, in a caring and educational environment.
- Discovering the stage and learning how to inhabit it in front of an audience (posture, attitude, energy, grounding, self-confidence, etc.)
- To work on one's interpretation beyond technique.
- To face the gaze of others.
- Overcoming shyness and fear of judgment.
- To receive feedback from outside sources, other than family or friends, in an educational setting.
- Learn from others and be a learning support for others.

The idea is that everyone learns from each other during this moment of sharing! Pretty awesome, right?!

I hope you will be as excited as I am about doing these Group Workshops!

Terms and conditions
- One session per month (3 hours) if enough people register.
- Between 5 and 8 participants.
- No commitment: you can come once on a one-off basis or every time.
- Open: you can bring a friend who would like to discover singing, try their hand at performing on stage or test my teaching approach.
- Booking required (Place due if cancelled less than 48 hours before the event).

*///*Piano Lessons (Accompaniment)*///*

For those who wish, I also offer lessons on piano accompaniment for singing.
You'll discover the basics of piano and chords (international notation, so no music theory) so you can (eventually) accompany yourself on any song in the world just by reading a chord chart! And that's pretty cool, isn't it? ;)

If you have any questions about the courses, teaching methods, or anything else, feel free to send me a message ;)

Looking forward to working together!

Jazz/contemporary music singer for all levels. A student at the Pôle Supérieur de Paris and formerly at the Bordeaux Conservatory, I'm looking for new students in Paris and the surrounding area! I'm also a pianist and can accompany you.

During these lessons, I obviously want to help you better control your voice, and I like to adapt to each student's wishes, goals, and pace!

Mastering your voice means understanding your instrument and how it works, but also breathing, pitch, interpretation, letting go... Many concepts that we can explore together! Whether you're a beginner or looking to consolidate your skills, these concepts will be central to our discussions.

As a pianist, I can also teach you some basic piano skills, depending on your needs and desires. As a singer, the piano is a very useful instrument!

My teaching is largely derived from that of my teacher, Robert Expert, a former biologist who became a renowned singer and singing teacher (CNSMDL, CRR 93, CRB).

It is based on the most scientific approach possible and aims at helping students understand the mechanisms that allow them to sing:
- the functioning of breathing;
- how to manage physical exertion and what implications this has on the whole body;
- what are the resonators;
- how to produce a projected, unamplified sound (in the context of operatic singing)
- learn to stop before hurting yourself and to respect your instrument
- etc ...

After years as a choir member and soloist, my ear has developed a keen awareness of the various issues that can affect a singer. This allows me to guide you towards a better use of your voice. My goal is to fully respect your well-being, help you find joy, and empower you to become increasingly independent in your vocal exploration.

Hello, my name is Angélique!

Passionate about singing, especially soul, RnB, and pop, I want to share the joy of singing and help everyone dare to use their voice. With my supportive approach, I aim to guide beginners so they can gain confidence, explore their vocal potential, and enjoy singing, without pressure or judgment.

For me, the most important thing is not to sing perfectly, but to dare to try and gain confidence in your voice!

I am a former student of the Radio France Choir School, which I attended for five years, and I have been actively coaching artists for the past twelve years (Olivia Mehrilati/The Do/Adé/Thérapie Taxi, Arnaud Rebotini, Ichon, etc.). I have also been a pianist/keyboardist and backing vocalist for other touring artists for the past twenty years. I truly enjoy teaching music, and I believe that everyone can sing in tune and learn music theory. My experience confirms this: you can always achieve results, provided you don't judge yourself and you trust in time and effective teaching methods!

Here, you'll learn to free your voice with patience, kindness, and calm :) The goal is to let go and enjoy yourself while learning. The lesson is generally divided into two parts: vocal warm-up and personalized technical exercises, followed by repertoire work, always chosen with the student. It can be anything in the realm of contemporary music—no restrictions!

If you’re interested in releasing your own music, I can guide you through the fundamentals of music distribution and promotion so you understand how to prepare your tracks for streaming platforms and grow as an independent artist.

My lessons are practical, supportive, and tailored to your goals — whether you’re just starting out or already making music and want to level up with guidance from a working artist.

*///*NEW: MONTHLY GROUP WORKSHOPS*///*

*///*Piano Lessons (Accompaniment)*///*

Does your child love to sing and want to develop their voice, gain confidence or improve their technique? Do you want to start singing yourself or improve your skills?

I offer private singing and vocal technique lessons, fully personalized according to the level and objectives of each student, whether beginner, amateur or already experienced.

Each course is structured in three parts:

1. Physical and vocal warm-up
Body relaxation, diaphragm placement, breathing exercises, posture and grounding, to prepare the voice and avoid any tension.

2. Vocal Technique
Exercises adapted to the student's level: breath control, voice placement, accuracy, articulation, resonance, power without straining.

3. Application to a piece
Putting the technique into practice on a song chosen by the student (or suggested) to work on interpretation and enjoy singing.

The styles are open: pop, variety, French chanson, lyrical... according to desires.

In addition, I offer the basics of music theory and piano for students who wish to learn to read sheet music or accompany themselves while singing.

Upon request, I can also help you create your own compositions and give you the keys to finding your vocal and artistic identity!

My teaching is largely derived from that of my teacher, Robert Expert, a former biologist who became a renowned singer and singing teacher (CNSMDL, CRR 93, CRB).

It is based on the most scientific approach possible and aims at helping students understand the mechanisms that allow them to sing:
- the functioning of breathing;
- how to manage physical exertion and what implications this has on the whole body;
- what are the resonators;
