Experience / Qualifications

Since 2012, I have been teaching piano and music theory to students of all ages and levels, in Korea and France. In recent years, I have worked as a music theory teacher and piano accompanist in conservatories in the Île-de-France region, in close collaboration with instrumental, vocal and ensemble classes.

I have over twenty years of experience accompanying choirs and masterclasses, and I worked with a children's choir in Seoul before moving to Paris. Alongside my teaching, I regularly accompany concerts, exams, auditions, and rehearsals, and I am passionate about helping students develop their musical confidence through both technical and expressive work.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. After developing Muscular Tension Dysphonia in 2010 and not singing for almost two years, she overcame this vocal disorder after working with some of the best voice and voice rehabilitation specialists in the UK.
