Additionally, I acquire a BA in Music accredited by the University of Surrey in the UK. I currently teach music lessons (guitar, voice). I have experience as a guitar and voice coach of 4 years. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. In our Oud class, I will guide you through everything from basic to advanced techniques. We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical journey My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Hello, I’m Elena, I’m Italian and I’m an opera singer :) I’ve been training children and teens for 10 years, especially helping them with auditions and tests. I’ve been singing in theaters almost all my life since I started when I was just 8; nowadays I work as a professional mezzo-soprano all around the world both in educational projects for kids and children and in big productions.
