About Me

Hi! I am a student myself (17f) and understand just how difficult it can be to wrap your head around some of the tricky topics covered in science at school. I had a tutor to help me get through my English GCSE and so want to give back by covering the sciences, which I have always enjoyed and understood. I achieved a grade 9 in both Biology and Physics and an 8 in Chemistry at GCSE (equivalent of 2 a** and an a*). I will help you with anything you are struggling with, whether it is preparing for exams (revision) or going over specific topics and homework or classwork. Just let me know what it is and I will prepare a lesson for you!

I sat my GCSEs at Tonbridge Grammar school in 2019, a super selective girls school in the south of the UK. I am now currently studying for my A-levels at a neighbouring school.

I specialise in science and maths tutoring for GCSE and A-level students, or for anyone looking to further their knowledge in these areas.
I am experienced in tutoring virtually as well as in person. I aim to challenge my students whilst helping to grow their confidence in these areas. I also give revision tips and strategies for answering exam questions.

In the first session, we will put together a list of topics that the student finds most challenging and would like to cover. In the following tutorials, I will spend the first half explaining the topic, particularly tackling any particular issues that the student would like to go through with this topic. In the next half of the session, we will go through exam questions together and the student can ask me any questions that they may have from work set in the classroom. I will prepare the tutorials in advance with the aim of including helpful diagrams, notes and examples to go through in the sessions, I also include a copy of the specification for that topic, highlighting any key points. I set a couple of homework questions after the tutorial sessions in order to consolidate what we covered in the session. I will include my copy of the answers, but if they have any questions or problems we can sort them out in the next tutorial. Where possible, I will also try and give some ‘real life context’ to topics and questions, in order to demonstrate their importance and to inspire my students!

Very enthusiastic chemistry teacher, really passionate about sharing my knowledge of chemistry and helping to motivate my students to develop their understanding, build their confidence and achieve better A level and GCSE chemistry results. My classes are based on the New A level -2015 syllabus for A level AQA, OCR and EDEXCEL. The revision guidance for each of these exam boards are split into different modules and I am to cover/ teach 1 or 2 topics within each 60 minute lesson class. These classes are tailored to suit each individual student needs. I am flexible and offer lessons at teachers location, students locations or online via webcam.

I really enjoyed chemistry and achieved excellent GCSE and Alevel chemistry results. I have also just completed my university undergraduate studies at the school of pharmacy which involves a lot of chemistry. I am currently completing my post graduate masters studies. My interest, knowledge and passion for chemistry has been demonstrated through my educational achievements and I am really looking forward to using this knowledge to help students achieve excellent results.
