Like most musicians, I have long wondered how we could "organize" the learning of music by avoiding waste of time, energy, "repetition" and discouragement in front of such work ...
My approach focuses on 3 important points: the development of the inner ear, the knowledge of Harmony and the mastery of the instrument.
To describe a sound:
The auditory recognition of rhythms and heights makes it possible to develop the ear, by recording audio tracks directly on the instrument and / or on the score. To have a good ear is to recognize and name a sound (rhythm, interval, tone, chord, cadence ...).
Understand the musical grammar:
Harmony consists in explaining what are the chords and their sequences in various styles. The knowledge of Harmony helps a lot to choose the right nuances and good accents in the interpretation of a piece (including current music). It is essential for those who wish to compose or arrange.
Find effective positions on the instrument:
Finally, a reflection on the choice of fingerings greatly facilitates the interpretation of even very difficult pieces, and improves the sound result.
Imagine that the Music is a Planet, the 3 points above would be 3 angles of view different from this one: Harmony and analysis would be the hidden face, the ear would be the visible face and the game instrumental the surface ...

About Me
In the 80s and 90s, I first studied Classical Guitar in various music schools in the Lyon area and I spent some small regional competitions until DEM. I do not know if this is still the case, but at the time, the disciplines were quite siled. I felt that something was missing ...
So I became interested in Piano and Jazz. I then worked on writing and counterpoint (which I also followed until the DEM) at the Conservatoire de Lyon, which was certainly my most interesting and formative experience.
In hindsight, I realize that my job was to put together the pieces of a big puzzle. Once this one gathered, friends and relatives began to ask me questions on the music, the Piano, the Guitar ... and for some, these discussions turned into real course. I had already replaced some teachers, but I had not specifically planned to become one at the start. And then the desire to help others took me, and here I am!
