About Me
I have been working professionally in the music industry for over a decade, having received my Masters in Composition from the Royal College of Music. I have composed music for the traditional concert hall, though now work primarily for film/TV/video games, having worked on projects for the BBC, Sky, Sony and EA Games.
My first instrument was the cello, and while my musical education was primarily classically based, I also have a keen interest in rock music, having learnt to play the guitar and drums in bands growing up.
Throughout many years spent working in a professional music studio, I was tasked with training new starters and interns to succeed in a high pressure musical environment. While I prefer to work in a more relaxed setting, it was working this way in the studio that first showed me the fun and fulfilment of being able to pass on my knowledge to those seeking to learn.
I am an enthusiastic musician and teacher, and I love being able to share this passion and inspire others.

Experience / Qualifications
Having progressed through the ABRSM theory exams, and then receiving my Masters and Undergraduate degrees, I have worked as composer and/or orchestrator on a wide variety of projects - from symphonic film scores, to rock bands, to Musical Theatre pit ensembles - demonstrating clear command of a range of idioms. My style is influenced heavily by my formal classical training, yet is balanced with a rich, modern cinematic sound.
I have worked with composer Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust (2007), Shaun the Sheep (2015), Kick-Ass (2010)), having worked on recent projects such as George Orwell's '1984' (Audible), 'A Perfect Planet' (David Attenborough for the BBC), and 'Ghost of Tsushima' (video game 2020). I recently collaborated with Andy Burrows (Razorlight, After Life) on music for 'The Platinum Party at the Palace' as part of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, to a TV audience of 13.3m people.
I've had the pleasure of recording music at Abbey Road, AIR Studios, the Eastwood Scoring Stage (Warner Brothers), and the Synchron Stage in Vienna; with pieces performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, The Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, and the Royal College of Music Film Orchestra, and have workshopped with Conrad Pope (Mortal Engines (2018), Isle of Dogs (2018), The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013), Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), Star Wars Episodes I-III (1999-2005)), William Ross (Ready Player One (2018), Rogue One (2016), The Hunger Games (2012), Alastair King (Aquaman (2018), Wonder Woman (2017), Downton Abbey (2010-15), Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (2009)), and Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015), Jack Reacher (2012)).
