About Me
"Music is what feelings sound like." Unknown Author

Music, that´s what I live. But not as extravagant artist as we know from films, but as a person who loves to share. Who loves to share all imaginable emotions and achieved information and also who likes to open door to wonderful world of art, to joy from melodies and right vibrations, to the thirst to learn about composers, history...

For several years already I am working with students of different ages and nationalities here in Belgium, where I received my Master in Music degree (Brussels Royal Conservatory). In past I had been studying in Ostrava, CZ, and in Bratislava, SK, where I also received my teaching diploma. Besides practice during secondary school and university studies with pleasure I had been teaching cello in Basic Music School in Vratimov, CZ, and cello and music theory in Frýdek-Místek, CZ.

I work on private basis with children (from four years old) and youths and adults, teaching them cello, piano, singing, solfége, music theory and history, in English, French and Czech languages. Aditionally I teach at European School in Ixelles as a music teacher and nursery assistant teacher.

Enjoying playful and open nature of children I´m able to find easy way how to work with each of them individually but also help them to adapt in community. I can offer my skills of organised and flexible teacher and musician with social and kind personality open to new goals and challenges.

Graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Liège, I offer individual cello lessons.
Special attention will be given to the wishes of the student, child or adult, beginner or more advanced.
Along with the desired musical direction (pop, rock, classical, world music, improvised, ...), we will carry out constant and evolving work on the basic technique of the cello. The objective being to privilege a work of putting in relation privileged with the instrument, so as to seek the setting in reasoning between oneself and the instrument.
To do this we will not neglect the component "well-being" that can be an integral part of the work of the instrument (relaxation, relaxation and body listening, improvisation, ...)

Experience has taught me that it is very important to build a warm, trusting relationship with students, especially the very young ones. Bringing laughter, a sense of humour, games, and creating imaginative stories with music are my motives throughout the lesson.

The goals and character of each student guides the teaching approach I adopt - some students enjoy learning for the joy of music, whilst others prefer to aim for recognised qualifications or grades. In both cases I aim to make learning enjoyable.

I always encourage all my students, of whatever age or ability, to do some simple improvisation, and have developed several ways to facilitate this. I emphasise developing technique and music theory as they make the foundation of becoming a good musician throughout life.

I have been teaching piano for over 10 years to students of all ages and levels, from beginners to the most advanced.

What do my students notice most? Their rapid progress. Thanks to individualized teaching methods adapted to each student, I ensure that every lesson is both effective and motivating.

I pay particular attention to rhythm, musical ear and understanding of music — not just to the execution of notes.

Lessons at my home are given on a grand piano.

Courses can be given in French, English, or Chinese.

Today, a multidisciplinary artist with a passion for teaching, I entered the Conservatory of Music very early on to learn piano and music theory: at the age of 6.

For a little over a year, I have been teaching children between the ages of 4 and 6. My lessons are presented as a fun musical awakening:
- know how to stand in front of a piano,
- hand positioning, fingering,
- learning rhythm and scales,
- note recognition,
- musical discovery and listening.

However, I propose to accompany any beginner, whatever their age (child, teenager, adult). I mainly travel to homes, my Casio piano keyboard on my back, to offer those who do not yet have one the opportunity to try and tame the instrument.

What do I offer?
- Lessons for all levels and ages, tailored to your musical goals (one lesson lasts 1 hour)
- If desired: feedback & support during the week via WhatsApp (for free)

Method:
I don't use a specific method, but I like to work very specifically on all aspects of piano playing. We'll alternate between skills training and purely musical lessons, where you can apply the acquired skills or techniques to your pieces. This frees up more focus for the most important thing: making beautiful music.

Piano lessons for all ages and levels given by a pianist graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, also holding a teaching degree. Classically trained, but I've always continued exploring jazz, folk, and other styles. I have a broad musical interest and love passing that on to my students. For the past five years, I've been teaching in the DKO (part-time art education) education system (at the academies of Mortsel and Ma'Go Antwerp), working with both beginners and advanced students. All ages, levels, and musical styles are welcome in my lessons!

I offer personalized lessons based on the objectives defined together during our first meeting. Depending on ambitions, needs, and desires, I adapt to different learning paces and timelines so that the discovery or resumption of the instrument takes place in the most natural and interesting way possible for both student and teacher.

I can teach students the basics of piano (hand position, notes, and rhythms), but also how to read sheet music independently, play pieces from different genres (classical, jazz, contemporary, etc.), feel comfortable at the keyboard, and be able to improvise. The lesson is structured in several parts that blend practice and theory: first, a warm-up; then, a session focusing on a specific aspect of music (ear training, rhythm, or a theory lesson); then we learn to play one or two pieces chosen together; and finally, a more "free" session for improvisation or exploring a concept in greater depth.

My methodology is designed to be reassuring and motivating: everyone is capable of enjoying playing the piano! I am therefore attentive to any potential difficulties and responsive in order to find solutions to overcome them.
