Hello, I'm Luís, an enthusiastic violist currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerp.

With a focus on beginners and intermediate levels, I'm dedicated to help students from all ages discover the passion for music through the violin and viola.
Each lesson I offer is carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of every student. Whether you're looking to improve your technical skills, refine your posture, overcome specific challenges, or just learn a small piece, I'm here to guide you on your musical journey.
I understand that every student has their own pace and learning style, and I'm committed to create a supportive, calm and fun environment that encourages growth.

About Me

I’m a young and very enthusiastic violist. I'm very committed to help people learn music with a calm and fun environment. I always try to improve myself while sharing my passion for music.

Education

I started learning violin at the age of thirteen at Escola das Artes de Sines as a hobby with Professor Caio Oshiro. In March 2019, I decided to abandon my studies in technical sciences to study music professionally and switched to viola, keeping the same teacher. A year later, I got the opportunity to join the class of Ricardo Mateus at the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional. In 2022, I joined the class of Leo de Neve in the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and at the moment I’m studying with professor Mathis Rochat.

Experience / Qualifications

I partipated in several masterclasses with Sheila Browne, Marc Sabbah, Jorge Alves, Ceciliu Isfan, Ewelina Bielarczyk, Roman Spitzer and Razvan Popovici.
I was part of some orchestras like, Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil, Brussels Conservatory Orchestra, and as principal viola in Orquestra Jovem and National Conservatory of Lisbon Orchestra.

To finally be able to express your feelings, your emotions, all through the guitar?

It's possible! And what we'll see through my lessons: you'll learn how to tune the instrument, practice its first chords, and quickly play your first songs.

Develop your ear and musical identity by exploring styles such as pop, rock, country, blues, jazz, bossa nova, funk just to name a few.

I graduated from the Master's degree at the Koninklijke Conservatorium Brussels with Olsi Leka, principal cellist of the Belgian National Orchestra.

- Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards).
