Tutoring for GCSE and Key stage 3 students - At home

GCSE, KS3, is one of the core years in developing a child's education. Hence, it requires a lot of attention and detail because the foundation is what the career builds on. I mainly target that foundation to be as strong as it can, so that the student excels on a global level.

About Me

I believe in a one-on-one teacher-student relationship as the attention to detail is impeccable at those times. Also, KS3 and GCSE are the foundation years for a child's future, and giving a lot of attention to just one student is necessary to get the best out of the student.

Education

I have completed my Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from India and I am pursuing my Master's in the same from the Queen Mary University of London. I am also DBS verified in the country.

Experience / Qualifications

I have worked as an IELTS tutor for 5 months and helped them ace their exams. However, due to my strong science background, I am currently working as a GCSE and KS3 math and science tutor.

Private lessons in Math, Physics, Chemistry and SVT
The math, physics, chemistry, and SVT courses of the Swiss maturity program and gymnasium or French programs are done by either in-depth explanations or by a quick course and summary of essential needs according to the case of each student supported by exercises from the book or evaluations and exams from other high schools. Special program for Matura and Terminales. As well as for (students in international and European Schools in English, they can have support in Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology). For the start of the academic year in Switzerland, support courses for EPSU and ECUS exams. For the first university year, support courses in Mathematics - Analysis - Matrices - Statistics - Algebra - Geometry - Physics - Mechanics - Electricity - Chemistry - Organic Chemistry - Biology, Geology. My experience is too long and for years I have learned methods for each case and for each student to fill in their gaps with the best results of Excellent, Very Good, and Good as mentioned by my students. I can also help students to better prepare for courses and support them to better prepare for the duties of CNED in science subjects. Guaranteed response within minutes up to 10 hours maximum.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacher
I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Salah Eddine
Math tutoring for high school students
As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material! We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition. The sessions generally take place according to the following stages: 1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps. 2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises. 3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach. 4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course. I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach. In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

GCSE Mathematics Lessons (Edexcel, OCR, AQA exam boards covered)
This class offers a supportive and engaging environment where students work through a variety of step-by-step examples and targeted practice questions tailored to their chosen topic for the session. Each lesson is designed as an in-depth exploration of the selected subject area, helping students build a solid understanding and develop confidence in solving exam-style questions. We begin with guided instruction and collaborative problem-solving, gradually encouraging independent work as the student becomes more comfortable with the material. With experience tutoring students of all ages through both established tutoring organizations and private sessions, I’ve had the opportunity to support a wide range of learners, each with their own strengths and challenges in mathematics. My goal is to help each student grow in confidence and competence, no matter their starting point. I’m always happy to explain concepts clearly and patiently, and I welcome any questions students may have throughout our sessions. As an undergraduate student studying Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), I also have experienced studying mathematics myself at GCSE, A-Level and university level. Having been through these stages myself, I understand the challenges students can face, and I’m keen to support others who are now in the same position.

Engines of War: Medical and Technological Innovations of War
War is a catalyst for destruction — but it also sparks invention. From antibiotics to the internet, trauma surgery to satellites, some of the most life-changing discoveries in science and medicine were born on the battlefield. In this 1-on-1 course, we’ll trace the complicated relationship between conflict and progress, exploring how the urgency of war has driven advancements in technology, public health, and medical care, often at a devastating cost. Through a mix of primary sources, propaganda, military records, and visual media, we’ll examine both the breakthroughs and the human consequences behind them. Each lesson focuses on a different conflict or innovation, giving students the tools to think critically about how societies respond to crisis, and what we choose to remember. Topics Included: - World War I: Shell shock, plastic surgery, chemical warfare, and the origins of trauma care - World War II: Penicillin, blood banks, radar, and the dawn of the atomic age - The Korean War: MASH units, air evacuations, and advances in burn treatment - Vietnam War: Helicopter medicine, PTSD research, and ethical debates on chemical weapons - The Cold War: Space exploration, computing, surveillance, and scientific competition - Modern Conflicts: Drones, AI, prosthetics, and the rise of cyberwarfare Learning Goals: - How scientific and medical innovation has evolved under the pressures of war - The ethical questions surrounding "progress at a cost" - The long-term civilian impact of military inventions - How to analyze historical documents and visual culture - How memory, trauma, and necessity shape the story of war
