I am a music teacher who specialises in music composition, piano, flute and music theory.
I am a well experienced and dedicated flute and piano teacher. I have been been teaching private instrumental lessons for over eight years and has developed my teaching practice to a high professional standard. Lessons are designed around the individual students wants and needs in discussion.
For flute, piano and music theory I can guide students through ABRSM's grade 1-8 if so desired.

About Me
Angela is a versatile performer, composer, and teacher working in the West Midlands area. Having played the flute and piano for over fifteen years, Angela has built up a wealth of performance experience. She has regularly performed as part of the University of Nottingham's Wind Orchestra and has previously performed as a solo flutist. Angela is an experienced and friendly teacher, available to teach piano, flute, and composition from beginner to advanced levels.
Qualifications: Ph.D. Composition, BA Hons Music, Dip ABRSM Flute, Grade 8 Piano, and Grade 8 Music Theory.
Angela has a wealth of teaching experience through her seven years as a private instrumental tutor and her work in schools and her past work as a teaching associate at The University of Nottingham. She has taught a wide range of diverse numbers of people and is able to adapt her teaching to the needs and wants of the student. She is happy to teach so you can learn just for fun or if you wish to work through graded exams. Currently, she has a 100% success rate for ABRSM examinations, with all of her pupils achieving at least Merit classification.
I approach each student individually depending on age and ability. Lessons are designed specifically for you and what you would like to achieve through your music lessons. I create a friendly and patient atmosphere to give pupils the best chance of achieving their full potential.
