Hello!

I offer piano lessons for people at any level. I have experience with beginners, intermediate and advanced players. I have experience with students from age 12 to senior students.

I have experience playing and performing music from the Early Baroque to Contemporary Music. Nevertheless, my expertise remains in music from Bach to post-romantic and neoclassic composers. I also have experience performing piano Spanish music (Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, and Enric Granados).

I also offer Music Theory, Harmony, Solfege, Musical Dictation and Ear Training Lessons.

I have some notions on Jazz piano, and I can definitely teach Rock and Pop piano. Nevertheless, my expertise remains in Classical Piano playing and performing.

I would prefer not to teach at my place since I am currently living in a student house with a lot of people living in it... But if you are OK with this, then I see no problem!

About Me

I am a 25 year old classical pianist native from Barcelona, Spain. I started learning to play the piano when I was 7 years old. Since then, I have been studying piano. In the beginning with more or less demand and as a hobby, but when I turned 18 I realized that I wanted to make of piano performance my profession. Since then, I have been studying and educating myself to improve and perfect my musicianship and piano performing skills.

I have been teaching extensively in Barcelona during my bachelor degree in order to help my parents sustain myself, therefore, I have plenty of experience in teaching students of different ages and levels. I am very patient, respectful and easy going, and I always adapt myself to the needs of my students. I understand that every student is unique and has specific needs and objectives. I always try to fit in those parameters and make sure that my lessons are productive, interactive, inspiring and fun.

I am very careful when teaching. I always prepare my lessons beforehand and review the contents of what I am going to teach. I am also aware that teaching is as fundamental as performing in my profession, so I always try to learn new things from teaching.

Bachelor Degree in Classical Piano Interpretation in "Conservatori Suprior de Música del Liceu", Barcelona, Spain (main teacher: Alba Ventura).
Performance Diploma Solo Performance in "Jacobs School of Music", Indiana University, United States of America (main teacher: Emile Naoumoff).
Master of Music (currently pursuing) in Fonrys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Tilburg, Netherlands (main teacher: Vitaly Samoshko).
I have taken part in several masterclasses with many first class musicians.

Experience / Qualifications

A lot of experience in solo piano and chamber music performance and piano accompanying. I have performed in concerts and competitions in Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States of America.
Awarded with a merit scholarship award to pursue graduate studies (Performance Diploma Solo Performance) in "Jacobs School of Music" Indiana University, USA (2018 - 2020).
Awarded with 1st prizes in spanish local competition "Concurs Sant Anastasi", Lleida, and awarded with Honor Mention in "Concurs per a joves intèrprets" (Conservatori Isaac Albéniz, Girona) in 2014.

As many musical instruments, piano tells a story, expresses emotional experiences, communicates desires and wishes.

This class is for people (teenagers, young adults, or adults) who have always had the passion for piano but never had the opportunity to learn how to play. This class is also for those who simply want to improve their piano skills, going from a beginner to intermediate level.

This class has two major focuses:

1. For beginners: main focus on on piano practice, learning new songs with incremental difficulty, and understanding of the music sheet.

2. For intermediates: main focus on intermediate/advanced songs with in depth comprehension of the music sheet.

Skills you will acquire:

1. Beginners: you will learn how to play basic piano songs and obtain a basic knowledge of the music sheet.

2. Intermediates: you will learn how to play more complex songs and obtain a more advanced comprehension of the music sheet. Furthermore, you will learn the basis for piano music composition.

I want this class to keep students challenged, but absolutely not overwhelmed. So, I will evaluate the few homeworks that I assign after every session and provide constructive feedbacks, in order for you to better learn.

I teach basic cello skills for beginners and from 6 years old to adults. I’m a patient teacher and take care of my students’ learning progress. I hope students can learn this instrument with a happy mindset, as well as learn to play music with joy.
