Composition:
have you always been interested in writing your own music or do you have a band and you want to write music for them?
No matter you are a pop musician or a classical musician, During these lessons we will go through the everything you need from the basics till advanced such as, For pop artists: how to make interesting harmonies, instrumentation, how to write music for your songs, how to make interesting vocal lines, how to communicate through scores and etc.

For classical composers:
Instrumentation, orchestration, form, harmony, how to start, how to develop an idea, how to write it down, how to write from a very small ensemble or solo till a big orchestra, how to make a professional layout and etc. If you would like to enter a conservatory this course is highly recommended

Arrangement:
Are you interested in making arrangements for your own instrument or for your band?
During this course you will learn how to make your arrangements sound unique and interesting, pleasing for performers and beautiful for audience, where to start, how to make a good balance, instrumentation, orchestration, Harmony and etc.

Music theory and ear training:
Would you like to have a better understanding of music?
Would you like to be able to analyse music while listening?
Would you like to develop your skills such as rhythm and solfeggio in the direction of becoming a strong musician with strong hearing skills?
During this course we tackle all the matters you need such as melodic solefeggio, rhythms, dictations, harmonic hearing, formal analysis and such as. after finishing the course you can be a confident musician about your musical skills.

About Me

Amin (1997) was born in Mashhad, the second biggest city in Iran. He started his musical journey as a guitarist and followed guitar and music theory courses with Hassan Ghazihosseini

Amin entered the university of IAUM to study architecture. Meanwhile, he got interested in flamenco music and worked as a guitar teacher in known institutes of Mashhad as Neydavood and Ordibehesht, and Shabahang.

He studied classical music, composition, and orchestration under the guidance of Keyvan Alayi. As an oud player, he entered the bachelor course of Persian music with Soheil Aminzadeh. In 2018 was accepted at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Tilburg (Netherlands). Since then he is studying under the guidance of Anthony Fiumara.

Amin has been active in the musical life of the Netherlands from the start. His work Baroon got performed in Het Cenakel only two months after he arrives in Tilburg, and the première of his string quartet Three Short Stories Form the Dead to the Living took place in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven

In 2020 his large-scale work for orchestra and choir ”He Woke Up in the Snake’s Dream” was performed in the concert halls of Tilburg and Eindhoven in a program with Philharmonie Zuid and the Brabantkoor. The music critics were all enthusiastic about this work. Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad wrote: “Amin in particular created a fascinating work with He woke up in the snake’s dream, with a humming choir as the highlight.” Later in the same year, he got commissioned by Gaudeamus Muziekweek to write a song cycle for the 75th anniversary of the festival, the piece had a sold-out premiere in TivoliVredenburg Hertz hall. For the same composition, Amin and his colleagues won the prize of ”the Netherlands Embassy’s Online Cultural Challenge”.

Amin has conducting lessons with Louis Buskens and Hardy Mertens. He is co-founder and conductor of the Brabant Kamerorkest.

As many musical instruments, piano tells a story, expresses emotional experiences, communicates desires and wishes.

This class is for people (teenagers, young adults, or adults) who have always had the passion for piano but never had the opportunity to learn how to play. This class is also for those who simply want to improve their piano skills, going from a beginner to intermediate level.

This class has two major focuses:

1. For beginners: main focus on on piano practice, learning new songs with incremental difficulty, and understanding of the music sheet.

2. For intermediates: main focus on intermediate/advanced songs with in depth comprehension of the music sheet.

Skills you will acquire:

1. Beginners: you will learn how to play basic piano songs and obtain a basic knowledge of the music sheet.

2. Intermediates: you will learn how to play more complex songs and obtain a more advanced comprehension of the music sheet. Furthermore, you will learn the basis for piano music composition.

I want this class to keep students challenged, but absolutely not overwhelmed. So, I will evaluate the few homeworks that I assign after every session and provide constructive feedbacks, in order for you to better learn.

I offer piano lessons for people at any level. I have experience with beginners, intermediate and advanced players. I have experience with students from age 12 to senior students.

I have experience playing and performing music from the Early Baroque to Contemporary Music. Nevertheless, my expertise remains in music from Bach to post-romantic and neoclassic composers. I also have experience performing piano Spanish music (Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, and Enric Granados).

I also offer Music Theory, Harmony, Solfege, Musical Dictation and Ear Training Lessons.

I have some notions on Jazz piano, and I can definitely teach Rock and Pop piano. Nevertheless, my expertise remains in Classical Piano playing and performing.

I would prefer not to teach at my place since I am currently living in a student house with a lot of people living in it... But if you are OK with this, then I see no problem!

Music is a life journey that can sometimes be challenging and demanding. Together we can set a lesson plan that focuses specifically on the demands and level of each student in particular. After years of being a student myself and having the opportunity to study with some of the most renowned jazz musicians of the world, I have collected knowledge and information on how to deal with many of the weaknesses we face during our lifelong journey of learning music. We will find the right way to learn that works for you and your experience.

The lessons offered:

- Bass Guitar: on all levels, focusing on developing good technique, leaning a lot of music and finding new challenges. Focus can be on any subject the student decides and will take it further from there.

- Improvisation techniques: on all levels and all instruments, you don't have to be a bass player to take that lesson. We will deal with many different ways to approach improvisation in modern music, based on the ideas and classes from teachers like Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, David Santoro, Steve Rochinski and Bruce Gertz.

- Jazz and Classical Music Theory, Arranging and Composition: providing many different book and different perspectives on music theory, learn how to analyze music and utilize all the ideas and concepts to create our own music and take it a step further. Techniques for arranging and composition, from small groups to big band writing.

- Music of the world: Discover music from all around the world, focusing on learning the styles, the history and the tradition of music from West Africa, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru. We will focus on the rhythmic aspect of different genres of world music and we will create an understanding of the feel of each different style.
