Hello! I'm Miya, a languages graduate (Spanish, French, Italian, English) and I love learning languages, so I understand first-hand how challenging it can be to learn and practise speaking a new language.

Classes can be:
- speaking only: practising getting comfortable speaking English with a native
- grammar based: doing exercises and translations
- from beginner to advanced levels of English

I have experience teaching English in language academies to people of all ages and abilities. I teach Cambridge, Trinity and EOI exams, as well as group child classes.

I am open to doing classes online (via Zoom or Skype) and we can meet at an agreed location in the city.

About Me

I am an energetic and fun 23-year-old from the UK. I am an English second language teacher in Valencia and have been living here for about a year. I studied languages at university and I love to learn about language and how it differs. For this reason, I love to teach others English and how it differs from their native language.

I love when my students ask me questions. Anything! It can be something grammar-specific, and if I don't know the answer, I will go and find out and get back to you with the answer!

Kids that love to learn and love to try out new things make teaching extremely worthwhile. Getting students comfortable speaking lets them improve at a much faster rate so I encourage speaking in my classes and active participation.

I teach using various methods: learning through games is always fun and lets younger students gain confidence in a second language. With adults, I prefer to use exercises based around grammar and translation. However, I teach adults that only wish to learn through speaking, and they like when I correct their mistakes as they speak.
