Hello, I'm Christina and I originally come from Ranshofen in Upper Austria :)
I grew up bilingual (mother from the Czech Republic and father from Austria), which is probably the reason for my enthusiasm for languages. Later on, I also learned French (6 years) and Latin (4 years) at high school, took a year-long Russian course at the Vienna Language Center and of course also learned English through school, university and semesters abroad. However, during my school years I soon discovered my interest in mathematics and science and am now pursuing this further in my studies.
Since I only recently graduated from high school, I know how narrow-minded, unyielding and lack of motivation teachers can be. Through my tutoring I want to show new perspectives on the subjects, that they can also be really fun and are actually practical for later life.

Education

I graduated from the Federal Gymnasium in 2018 (written German, math, English, Latin; oral English, biology). During my school years (2016) I spent a semester in Victoria, Canada to immerse myself in a completely new culture and at the same time improve my English. This also helped me to take my Cambridge English Certificate at C1 level in 2018. After graduating, I started my studies at the main university. I completed my bachelor's degree in Transcultural Communication (in German, English, Czech) and am now in the final phase of my biology degree with a focus on ecology. I am passionate about both languages and natural sciences and would like to pass on this knowledge.

Through my studies and my school days, I know what is important in teaching and how to best present and explain the content. Above all, my knowledge of different languages enables me to establish connections between them and thus explain them more easily.

I'm a highly qualified and experienced translator and a language teacher for German and Hungarian. German B1 is the preparation in German for the ÖSD and ÖIF B1 exam. There is a textbook included
