I was born in Chicago, USA and I grew up in California. I currently live in Belgium and Spain (Fall 2019) as an English teacher.

Teaching has been one of my greatest passions since I first started working as a teacher in Thailand in 2015. Later, I started teaching private classes over Skype and in Spain. Private classes, above all, have been so rewarding to teach as I love building relationships with my students and watching them grow and improve over time.

Over the years I have had students who began classes when they knew only a few words in English, and C1 students with nearly perfect English who were looking to practice with a native speaker and learn vocabulary.

My ESL teaching methodology is to teach the language in a way that is practical to your life and experience. I personalize every class to what each individual student is interested in learning, or I create a theme for the class to help conversation flow and teach new vocabulary. While grammar is important, I value even more the ability to speak and understand confidently and fluidly.

Economics classes for University level students will be based on student's needs (some suggestions: Econometrics, Microeconomics, Quantitative Economics). For school students, it can involve advanced learning or basic Economic knowledge (aligned to student's needs).
English classes will involve writing and speaking practice (based on the student's existing knowledge).
I tend to explain things pretty well. I always try to assign homework for further practice.
Times can be discussed with me and I do accommodate students based on mutual availability.

At work, at home, at parties, and everywhere else, good communication is indispensable to be able to understand each other. A language is meant to be spoken and understood. The best way to understand a language is being exposed to it, whether through books, movies, songs or social media. In my classes, only motivation is required. During the first class, we explore your needs and what I can offer you. Outside and during my classes, you are your own teacher. The higher you expose yourself to the language, the quicker you'll master it. I am your coach who will guide you through it and give you some tools along with tips and tricks to master the basics. I am willing to help you as long as you need. If you want my help one hour for French and one hour for Dutch per week, or only 30 minutes/week for Dutch, that is up to you! Additionally, I offer group sessions of maximum 4 persons per session. It is your responsability to look for your classmates if that is something you are up to.
