About Me

I am passionate about teaching Drama and I aim to create a fun but focused learning environment.
I believe that ‘play’ should be at the heart of developing performance and theory skills, and the best way to learn, is to do.

I specialise in working with young people to prepare for written and performance exams in GCSE and A Level Drama.

I also work with aspiring actors wishing to audition for Drama Schools. I have expert knowledge in contemporary and classical monologue performances and can work with people one to one to create confident and unique audition speeches.

This class is for aspiring actors, singers and writers. The focus is to train your body, voices and minds for performance giving you techniques and skills that will build up your confidence and self- esteem.
My teaching methodology is the "art comes from the artist". I teach skills that enables the student to explore, understand and nurture their own ideas to turn it into art.My teaching methods wont only bring out the actor in you, but also the writer, director or designer if that is the path you may want to go down. I am patient and fun and treat my students with respect and integrity. I expect the same from them.
We will be exploring play scripts, film scripts and pieces of music from musical theatre.

I specialise in teaching critical thinking and information gathering, in the art of the English learning how to diversify your skills by learning how to write comparatively, draw out information and think creatively about bring your work across is essential for this new technological age.

My goal is to give value to children in the skills I've developed during my times of study and work and teach them skills that'll force them to think critically and strategically, enhancing their thinking and writing skills.

I am a Teaching Associate and Writing Tutor at a London University. I have been teaching History and Essay Writing to undergraduate students for the past three years. I also have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level, Brevet, Baccalauréat).

I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. If their attention span is short, I will make sure to both work with it by adapting my lessons and work to improve it over time. If exam anxiety prevents them from achieving the results they could, I will include regular mock exams.
I want my tutees to feel at ease and stress-free during our lessons, and making our time together safe and comfortable is crucial to me.

I trained in classical and opera singing at The Royal Northern College of Music, and for the past 7 years have had a career in operetta and musical theatre. Including lead roles in The Mikado, Pilates of Penzance, Iolanthe and HMS Pinafore with the International Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, The Merry Widow, Babes in Arms, Out Of Of This World, Free As Air, Cinderella and Peter Pan to name a few.

Alongside my career I’ve taught singing and acting with RNCM Youth Perform, Enfield Music Service, Bolton Music Service, Artis, Stage Coach and privately at many schools, colleges, and performing schools across the country. Helping students achieve their personal goals as well as desired results in ABRSM, Trinity, LAMDA, GCSE and A Level exams.

I specialise in developing vocal and performance technique especially in the genres of musical theatre and classical singing but love teaching all music genres. The most important thing is finding music you love to sing.

I also offer advise on the realities of being a working actor, what to expect from an audition and how to prepare for it, building an audition repertoire and acting though song coaching.

As someone who has gone to LAMDA, one of the top drama schools in the country, I have had a lot of experience in auditioning for drama school, and can draw upon my own successes (and failures!) to help you give the best audition possible. From selecting plays tailored to make you shine, to monologue and script work, as well as self-tape technique - I will cover it all.
