I have 13 years' experience teaching music theory and composition. I'm a pianist and composer, with a thorough understanding of all instruments. I cover all sorts of styles, including Classical, Jazz and Pop/Rock. My lessons are friendly and encouraging, using audio examples and helpful diagrams. Giovanni started playing the guitar when he was 6 years old and he never stopped thanks to his passion and his devotion to music. He has played with many bands and artists and has also played on a TV talent show in Italy. He has taught for many years to students of all ages and in several different music schools. In 2016 he moved to London to study music performance at ICMP and to achieve a BA Hons 1st Class in performance and music composition. He is offering 1-2-1 guitar lessons to beginners/intermediate and advanced guitar students of all ages. He DBS certificated so he can offer private lessons to children in a completely safe environment. . The lessons can be online, at his studio in Willesden Junction in London or in the nearby areas like Webley, Acton, Kensal Green, Kensal rise etc. At the studio there is all the necessary equipment to teach students to play guitar. I can also show you how to record and mix guitars tracks on Logic Pro X recording studio.

The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
