Hello My name is Kay and I specialise in Saxophone and music learning for any level - from learning foundations and fundamentals of music. My goal is to motivate and encourage anyone who has an interest in learning and playing the saxophone through different styles!

These sessions are for people who want to gain some different skills and perhaps unleash an unknown talent for music and the saxophone!
You will learn a variety of saxophone techniques which will be suited for your learning and be provided a comprehensive music learning experience. If there are additional requirements that would like to be explored, there are always possibilities for these situations! I am happy to assist with any questions and preferences in music styles and genres.

About Me

My name is Kay, I am from Australia and I began playing the saxophone at the age of 10 years old. I was admitted to the Victorian College of the Arts and attained my Bachelor of Music at the Conservatorium of Music in Melbourne. I also spent two year in France learning performative and learning technicalities of the Saxophone in Bordeaux - since 2015 I moved to Switzerland to further enhance my studies at the Zurich University of Arts in Master of Music Performance. Since being able to gain different perceptions and experiences through education, I have gained my own method through not only the saxophone and music but also through analysis of the body and movement.

I hope to also bring these aspects through my teaching methods and students can acquire different lessons in accordance to their needs of learning. I have also worked with many age groups and different levels. I believe that everyone has a different learning method and I would also like to introduce how music can be expressed and be enjoyed by everyone to share!

I am currently a student at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. I'm in my third bachelor's degree. I have been taking harp lessons for 13 years with various renowned teachers such as Eline Groslot and Annie Lavoisier. During this period I also gained a lot of experience as a concert harpist. Including the second prize in the Concours Français de la Harpe (2017). And for 3 years I also give private lessons in harp and solfège.

These lessons focus on both (young) children who want to learn harp and adults who want to start using harp. Each student is guided at his own pace and the lessons are adapted to the wishes of each student.
Note learning lessons are also adjusted as much as possible to the student's pace.

I‘m 24 years old man from Slovenia. I‘ve been playing guitar for almost 10 years now, I compose and dive deep into the and art of it. I‘m very interested in teaching and seeing how a person is developing it’s skills once they dedicate themselves to the subject. My approach is very precise and if one desires so, I‘ll teach from total basics as reading the notes and other music theory or we can also work from tabs.
I lived in Spain, Granada for some time where I‘ve been to the fountain and the roots of flamenco itself and became more familiar with it. I studied art pedagogy when I was in university in Slovenia, where I learned some pedagogy basics, but I think a teacher has to see beyond the frame and find it‘s own way of passing the knowledge. I speak spanish, english, croation and Slovenian fluently and I speak some basic German and Italian, but I started to work more seriously on both of them.

I teach at my home, but offer webcam lessons and also can come to student‘s house but charge additional costs for travel.

I offer beginners and advanced players professional instrumental lessons for viola. I will try to work towards your goals and requirements so that you can develop as a musician. My teaching is technically precise on the one hand, but it also promotes your musical creativity and enthusiasm, for example by making music together. Perhaps you are already playing the violin and would like to switch to the viola to play in the orchestra or in a chamber music ensemble, or you are curious about the somewhat less familiar instrument of the string family. I would like to pass on my passion to you to bring the beauty of the viola closer to the general public. At the end of my pedagogical studies at the ZhdK for instrumental lessons, I am an intern in the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and an active chamber musician in various ensembles.

27 years old classical pianist from Brazil and currently based between Canada and Brazil, holds a Master's Degree in Music Psychology and Performance, and currently concluding the Doctorate (PhD) in Music Psychology and Performance – final stages and thesis defense. Also had studied at the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and l'Université d'Ottawa (Canada).

Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses.

Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels).

My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing.

Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique.

The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible.

I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar.

Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality.

I am currently taking a master degree in the world famous conducting class of Professor Johannes Schlaefli and Christoph Mathias Müller at the Zhdk, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.

I hold two bachelor degrees, one in classical piano performance and the other in orchestra conducting, both from
The Norwegian Academy of music in Oslo. More than 8 years of university high education in total.
