In the singing lessons we will work with your own voice! We investigate where your points of improvement lie and what you are already good at. Are you a beginner? Then we focus on a basic formation of singing technique in combination with singing songs that you like to sing. Are you an experienced singer before? Then we go a little deeper into vocal technique by looking at where the difficulties lie for your voice with challenging songs. We get started with the songs you like to sing. If you prefer solfège or a combination of the two, that is certainly possible too! I myself have been working for 4 years in a private music school where I give singing and piano lessons. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
