My Lessons and What I Teach: My main job as an Acting Tutor is to spark your imagination and guide you, at your own pace, to a place where you can take ownership over both your craft as a performer AND your own self-expression as an individual. Fundamentally, my lessons are tailor made to ensure the needs of the individual are prioritised above all else. I therefore have varying tutoring programmes depending on what it is you want to get out of the sessions. Methodology: My teaching is rooted in the belief that Playing is the most effective way of Working. I employ techniques used by Konstantin Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov, Jerzy Grotowski, Patsy Rodenburg, Rudolf Laban and many other practitioners to provide you with a diverse tool-kit that you can take ownership of and use in a way that suits you. I want to offer space not only to grammar, but also for the conversation based on everyday life. I like to use with my class a communicative and student-centred approach. In my lessons I want to address all cultural aspects that foreigners love more about Italy: fashion, food, climate, spirit, beliefs and holidays. For all levels, for both children and adults, and diploma preparation. All aspects of the language would be targeted during the lessons, emphasizing those desired by the student (ex: conversational, grammar) Depending on the level and the method of study will be adapted to each student, with outside-of-class follow up. The classes will be conducted in either English, French, or both, once again depending on the needs and the level of the student. Classes focused on the reinforcement of the language can also be organised, focused on specific topics that the student is interested in, which will allow the student not to lose the language and to develop further their knowledge of lexicon in the specific area. In what concerns diploma preparation, the lessons will focus on the particularities of the tests (timing, response format, lexicon, etc).
