Robotics & Arduino Tutor for Kids and Teens — Hands-On STEM ProjectsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I offer one-to-one Robotics and Electronics tuition for kids, teenagers, GCSE, A-Level, and IB students who want to learn how robots, sensors, and microcontrollers actually work. Lessons are available online or in person around Birmingham. What I cover: Arduino programming and projects Basic electronics: circuits, sensors, motors, LEDs Introduction to robotics and automation STEM coursework and school project support GCSE, A-Level, and IB Design & Technology / Computing projects Fun beginner builds: line-following robots, obstacle-avoiding cars, weather stations, smart home gadgets How I teach: I keep lessons hands-on and project-based, because kids learn best when they're building something they actually care about. We'll start with the basics — wiring up an LED, making a buzzer beep — and build up to fully working robots and gadgets. I'm patient with mistakes (they're part of the fun), and I explain everything in clear, simple language without dumbing it down. This is perfect for parents whose children love technology, want to get ahead in STEM, or have a school project they need help with. Send me a message and we can arrange a free 15-minute introductory chat to talk about your child's interests. No pressure, no commitment.

Statistics and Mathematics for Advancing thinking and logic (University Based Teaching)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Statistics and Mathematics for Advancing thinking and logic (University Based Teaching)Translate this text using Google Translate.

This is not your traditional math class! Rather than focusing on rote memorization or rigid formulas, this course emphasizes developing a deeper understanding of mathematical and statistical reasoning. Instead of simply teaching students how to calculate an average (mean), for instance, I will guide them toward discovering how to develop a value that they believe best represents an average. This reflective approach helps students think critically about the meaning and application of mathematical concepts, rather than just performing calculations. The course prioritizes practical applications over theoretical repetition. You will engage with real-world case studies and utilize modern tools such as MATLAB, R, and Python to solve problems across fields like medicine, social sciences, and business. We will explore statistical reasoning, data analysis, and numerical algorithms, always with the goal of helping students connect these abstract concepts to professional and real-life scenarios. By encouraging students to question, analyze, and understand the underlying logic of mathematical principles, the course fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end, you will not only know how to perform calculations but also understand the "why" behind them, enabling you to apply mathematical reasoning effectively in academic and professional contexts.

Through my teaching assistant position I improved my adaptability and communication skills by liaising with students from different backgrounds. I will be listening to the children read, supervising group activities. I can also teach Ks3 students in English, Maths, and Science Which i have done before I identified common weaknesses such as low self-confidence with certain students. As a result, I used positive reinforcement techniques such as offering verbal praise on their academic work to build their self-confidence. Another responsibility was to identify the students’ individual learning needs to help them improve their academic performance and skills. For instance, I helped a student to arrange a study plan which in turn allowed him to prioritise his time. Similarly, during university I learnt how to time manage, organise, be reliable through completing university assignments. This would be useful as a teaching assistant as one of the main roles is to support the teacher during activities, and to help children who need extra support to complete tasks. Moreover, I have strong presentational skills which I have enhanced through my team leader role within my security job. This role entailed managing a team of security guards at events and conducting presentations regarding everyone's roles and responsibilities. This allowed me to communicate effectively and improved my ability to work well in a team. In addition, I am able to work well independently, as well as being a team member. This is illustrated through my dissertation module and my group project. Through these assignments I had to prepare and create resources and present them, whilst also researching independently. I obtained a second class grade in both assignments which demonstrates my ability to research effectively and work well as part of a team and as an individual. In conclusion, I believe that I am suited for this role as I have the knowledge, skills, and experience to excel in this position. I would be able to support the teacher and liaise with students from different backgrounds and of different capabilities. In addition, I have strong presentational skills and communication skills which is significant for a teaching assistant as they may need to work one-to-one with students in small groups if they are struggling.

Engaging with English Literature and Creative WritingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Engaging with English Literature and Creative WritingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I study English and Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham. I have experience in writing and have published many articles in the Redbrick Newspaper. My original poem in the International Phonetic Alphabet has been 'highly commended' in the 2020 Language for Literature Competition. I am the CAL Ambassador at the UoB, and also a Student Rep. I was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Scholarship to study at the UoB. I have scored 98% in English in grade 12th (A level equivalent). I have also got a Medal of Distinction and a Certificate of Distinction by getting the 25th zonal rank in the first level of International English Olympiad in the same grade. My school rank was the first. I qualified for the second level and got the certificate of Zonal Excellence for the 22nd zonal rank too. I have also been awarded with trophies of Overall Proficiencies and scholar badges, every year from the grade 6th to 10th for a 10/10 CGPA. I am here for whatever you need me - whether that be creative writing sessions, or a topic specific preparation for a test in English Literature, I can provide you the same. We can work together in achieving your goal. I can make you feel comfortable about yourself and your studies, as my work surrounds mental health. If you are shy to meet new people, that's no problem - as I said, we'd work together.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a thorough knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for middle and high school (from 6th to 12th grade). I am also qualified to support students in preparing for international exams such as the SAT, the OMPT, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in all its variations: Analysis and Approaches (AA SL/HL) and Applications and Interpretation (AI SL/HL). Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. The strength of my teaching approach lies in my ability to explain, in simple terms, anything a student finds complicated. I am passionate about this profession because it offers me the opportunity to guide struggling students toward success. It is a true pleasure to see them progress and rediscover their connection with the fascinating world of mathematics. I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to participate.

Benoit is friendly and patient and has a good sense of when to challenge and when to take a step back. My son, who is 8, really likes his lessons very much. He loves math, especially working with big numbers, and at school it isn't always possible to work on calculations as he would like. After few lessons he already learned new techniques for calculations he likes to experiment with and Benoit also managed to challenge him to try some new and more advanced things. I think this type of lessons is more tricky to prepare, at least until the teacher gets to know well the capacities and character of the child, as there are not based on the child's curriculum or homework to be done. Benoit is always open to discussion and if my son finds something too challenging, they take a step back and try another way or just agree to try another time when my son feels ready for it.

Ghous is a very kind and pleasant teacher. He explains everything clearly and is always responsive and supportive. He adapts to the student’s pace and is very flexible when it comes to scheduling and learning preferences. He has a strong command of Electrical Engineering topics and is able to explain even complex concepts in a simple and understandable way. Ghous is also very helpful with assignments, even when they are in a different language, which shows both his deep subject knowledge and his adaptability. I’m very satisfied with his lessons and would definitely recommend him to others.

Teacher Raef, is an experienced teacher. My son enjoyed his first online lesson today with Teacher Raef. He’s a very dedicated teacher, dedicated towards his students learning needs and supports. Teacher Raef clears all doubts related to the topic instantly and with great clarity. He guides the student in each and every steps with patience and understanding. The best part of Teacher Raef is that he always encourages the student with his positive attitudes. This develops a sense of confidence in the pupil. Thank you Teacher Raef for your support and guidance to my son!!
