Trusted teacher: Warm welcome to every little human out there who has chosen to play the most beautiful instrument in the world! And welcome to the most patient parents: believe me, I totally understand how hard it can be to raise a musician. So I'm here for you to help 🙌🏻 How I can help you: 1) My favorite role is a home tutor for a kid who already plays the violin, or has offline classes with another teacher, but needs some help at home. We can work together on such details like intonation, phrasing, sound, virtuosity, etc. I can help to choose the appropriate program, or just work on that one given by your teacher. 2) I also can give occasional classes when you need some urgent help: maybe your teacher is on holiday, and you're preparing for important exam/recording/concert. These are very straightforward classes, with precise goals and detailed practice. 3) Starting from scratch. Please pay attention that I accept this kind of inquiries only with kids older than 12. We will learn the instrument, must-have music theory, and make all the way through, from zero to first favorite melodies played by your child! If your request includes something that I didn't mention above, please feel free to ask ♥️ ❗️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: I don't do violin classes online from zero for kids from 7 to 12 years, because I strongly believe that personal contact, being able to help the kid physically is essential in this age. I can give classes to children of this age though if they have another teacher offline, and just need some help at home. OFFLINE CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES AND ALL LEVELS 🎻

Trusted teacher: Leon graduated from the University of Cambridge, where he read Academic Music. He studied violin and viola with Lutsia Ibragimova, David Dolan and Alexander Tumanov at the Yehudi Menuhin School, a specialist music school in the UK, and was concertmaster of the Cambridge University Orchestra. Recent projects include Tippett's 'A Child of Our Time' with Martyn Brabbins and Poulenc's 'Sinfonietta' with Jac van Steen. He now lives and works as a freelance violinist and music teacher in Helsinki. Leon is passionate about teaching violin/viola/music theory and is committed to a lifelong study of music and music pedagogy so he can share his knowledge with others. In his final years at school, he taught violin to beginners at a local primary school and, after graduating, more experienced 8-13-year-olds at a summer music camp. He has had two years' private teaching experience from a base in Cambridge. In addition, Leon has gained invaluable teaching experience from extensive informal tuition of advanced learners (conservatoire degree-level). The format of your lesson with Leon is not set in stone! He believes that a flexible teaching style is essential to cater effectively for different abilities: reaching one's own milestones always takes priority. If you are a beginner looking to play some of your favourite songs, for instance, the most effective strategy may be to learn the 'tricks' of the trade, or essentials only. However, if you are looking to develop a solid basis for more virtuosic playing, Leon's 'Russian-style' violin school background is ideally suited for rigorous instrumental training. For non-beginners, Leon is also able to offer advanced teaching: this includes help with musical interpretation, the pinpointing of technical issues and anything in-between. If in doubt, please enquire. Leon teaches music theory online. He is happy teach up to degree level in this field. Please drop him a message if you are interested!

Trusted teacher: Welcome to my profile! My name is Fabiola, and I am a violin and viola teacher and children’s orchestra conductor based in Maastricht. I work with students of all ages, creating a supportive, creative, and personalized learning environment where each student can grow at their own pace and enjoy making music. As an active orchestral performer, I bring my professional experience on stage directly into my teaching. I help students develop a solid technique while fostering musicality, expression, and confidence. I use a variety of teaching approaches, including Suzuki, ABRSM, Trinity, and Galamian methods, adapting them to each student’s age, personality, and goals. In my lessons, I also focus on how to practice effectively at home, tackle challenging passages, and prepare confidently for public performances. I began my musical journey with El Sistema in Venezuela and continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, specializing in both performance and pedagogy. I completed a Master’s in Violin Performance with a focus on Spanish music, as well as a symphonic master’s in collaboration with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra (Orquesta RTVE). I currently collaborate with the Philharmonie Zuidnederland and the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, while also teaching private violin and viola lessons. I believe that discipline and enjoyment go hand in hand, and I enjoy guiding each student in their artistic and personal growth.

Trusted teacher: Hi, I’m Gaia! I’m a professional violinist and passionate teacher. My course is designed for motivated violinists who are looking for guidance to grow and advance, as well as for beginners interested in discovering the world of the violin. My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong musical sense together with a clear and structured methodology that ensures complete technical training.
Among my greatest interests are pedagogy and psychology ; I read extensively on these topics to become the most well-rounded teacher I can be, capable of helping children, teenagers, and adults in their musical learning. During my teaching activity, I often find myself recalling lessons and insights I received from my own mentors throughout my studies. I enjoy translating advanced concepts into simple and digestible forms for children and young students. I believe that every teacher has the responsibility to believe in the potential of each student and to constantly challenge themselves to find ways to make even complex ideas accessible. It is precisely at this age that the most important seeds of growth are planted. I deeply believe that music is a personal investment that contributes to the full development of the individual. For this reason, I always prioritize empathy, mutual respect, and commitment in my lessons. A lasting improvement on the instrument can only be built on these foundations. I also strive to keep my teaching informed by reading and researching beyond instrumental technique ;providing my students with a historically and theoretically aware approach to every piece we study. I completed my Bachelor’s studies at the HMTMH Hannover (graduating with top marks, German 1.0 / Swiss 6.0 equivalent), and I am currently finishing my Specialized Master in Music Performance and Specialized Master in Chamber Music at the Musik Akademie Basel. I have extensive experience in concert and ensemble performance and have been among the laureates of the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, the Città di Padova International Violin Competition, the Feast of Duos Sion, and a finalist at the ROSL Chamber Music Competition in London.
With my ensemble Trio Venere, I had the opportunity to perform in a public masterclass with Steven Isserlis at Wigmore Hall. Coming from a musical family with a strong pedagogical tradition, I had the privilege to learn not only through my formal studies but also by observing my parents teach from an early age. I have over seven years of teaching experience, and several of my students have successfully passed entrance exams for Italian conservatories (higher education) and won prizes in national youth competitions.

What I enjoy most about my lessons with Zachary is how personable he is. You will not find a more patient or kinder instructor. For me, I decided that I wanted to learn how to play the violin later in life. I have never played an instrument my entire life. Zachary did not make me feel like my new start was impossible and he does not patronize. These are things that I have encountered from teachers in the past. Zachary meets you where you are in your abilities and helps you realize your potential. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help you on your journey. I highly recommend Zachary as a teacher if you are beginner to the most advanced levels. I look forward to each session! If you’ve read this far, stop what you’re doing and book him.
