Trusted teacher: I'm a well qualified Polish native speaker, I was born and studied in Poland, in 2007 I completed my master's degree in Polish philology at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. On a daily basis, I teach Polish, I also write literature for children and I run a publishing house that publishes e-books intended for language learning. I also have experience in press journalism. I am happy to share my linguistic knowledge and extensive experience during lessons. As a philologist, I conduct Polish language lessons for foreigners and I also teach Polish literature. I have over 15 years of experience. When learning, I focus on practical skills needed to communicate. In a friendly atmosphere, I will encourage you to speak, improve your pronunciation, and I can also teach you to write very well. If these are the skills you want to master first and foremost, I am the right teacher for you. I can communicate in English at an intermediate level, so I prefer learning from English-speaking people or those who are comfortable with the lesson being conducted entirely in Polish. ADDITIONAL TRAINING I've completed: - Sounds Polish (Białystok University of Technology) -The course focuses on building the awareness of the production and perception of Polish sounds to enable more effective learning of the language. - Creating business marketing content - business language (Poznań University of Economics) I will adapt the lesson topics to your needs. Let me know what you want to learn. With me you can, for example: - prepare for a job search: write a CV in Polish and practice a job interview - learn the vocabulary from your industry - learn correct pronunciation - master grammar well - learn to talk freely and use colloquial speech - learn phrases used in everyday life - prepare for exams - I also teach children and prepare them for school Polish language exams.

Trusted teacher: I will offer your child guided reading assistance. Guided Reading will help your child develop reading proficiency, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. We will be using digital short stories in this lesson. For adults, I can also assistance you with reading , grammar and writing. Essay writing, creative writing and blog writing. Your child will be introduced to reading strategies: breaking words into parts, stretching sounds out, looking for smaller words within a word, finding the base word, adding ending and beginning sounds to help solve tricky words. * You will be introduced to a new story. We will do a book walk. This happens before reading. We look at the book title, cover and pictures in the story and make predictions about what the book will be about. * I will go over some of the challenging words that will be in the story to help make the text more familiar for you. * I will model how to read a sentence with a challenging word from the story, using a reading strategy. * Your child will take turns reading the story aloud, implementing reading strategies when needed with support from me. * Your child will answer several comprehension questions. Please see the list of example questions. Each set of questions will be unique and based on the story. * We will write a written response of a summary of the story. I will model writing, using paragraph formation. As a class we will write part of the summary together. I will then add some vocabulary words onto the screen to help students add some descriptive words to their writing. Students are then encouraged to add a couple more sentences on their own to the summary. Please have a piece of paper on hand for writing. * After writing, we will work on vocabulary from the story that we have read through a digital game.

Trusted teacher: This 8 session course (60 minutes each session) has three interrelated goals: have students understand the basics of Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs, make students aware of the variety of reputable non-print/ print sources that are out there for Egyptology/ ancient history overall, and enable students to be able to go into a museum or exhibit of Egyptian artifacts and translate common phrases of five fold royal titulary, pronouns, Offering Formula, etc. In sum I want students to be able to apply to a so-called ‘dead language” real world examples. This will be accomplished through discussion, lectures, and relevant PowerPoint slides. I will use PowerPoint slides to show students examples from real life objects that match up with the grammatical lesson theme for that week. Keeping in mind that different students have different learning styles and methods to have content ‘click’, for most of the weeks I have also put optional links (to web sources or youtube videos) that either restate and/or give further info for that week's grammar theme. Depending on student preference and desires multiple choice quizzes are also possibilities. I will teach hieroglyphic words/phrases having to do with monarchy/kingship, members of a family, masculine and feminine versions of words, and words/phrases commonly found on private/royal stelae that concern offerings to deceased. Just like my other offered courses, students can choose to take all eight or just select the themes that draw them in the most. We do not have to follow the order listed in the content breakdown. Content Breakdown Class 1: Introduction to the Language and Its Format Assigned reading Class 2: Uniliteral signs/ Structure Things Mentioned in Week 1 Class 3: Biliteral/ Triliteral Signs in Detail Class 4: Nouns Class 5: Nouns continued with focus on Offering Formula Class 6: Pronouns Class 7: Adjectives Class 8: Full Just Objects Review and/ or challenges to student to translate during that 60 minute time chunk
