I am a graduate of Manchester School of Theatre and have worked professional around the UK in plays, on screen, and in musical theatre. Whether you're looking to audition for drama school, a professional working actor wanting to brush up on their singing, or an amateur looking to do something creative for fun, I'm ready to tailor the classes to what you need. I teach very technically, but always bring the work back to the character, the story, and most importantly your enjoyment of it. Can offer classes in person (London) or online.

Hi there My name is Phil and I am a professional Actor and Musician who is still very active in the professional industry. I'm here to share some of the knowledge, experience, and skills that I have learned after 3 years of training (Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts) and over 14 years of professional experience. I have worked extensively in a wide range of areas within the industry and have experience in the West End (The Lion King, Once), TV (Red Dwarf, Diagnosis), Voice Over (various Video Games), Touring and International theatre, devising and even using my skills to train people in the corporate sector. I am also a singer, musician and puppeteer. I offer a no-fuss, no-pretension, welcoming approach that invites everyone to sharpen their skills or take their first steps into the world of Acting. To this end, I also co-founded Acting Unlocked, an Acting coaching service offering 8-week workshops and one-on-one classes as well as Masterclasses in more specific areas. I also teach workshops at a number of top London-based Drama Schools. I'm a professional theatre director, writer & teacher with 10 years experience in education & West End theatre. Previous credits include: Fiddler on the Roof (Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival); West Side Story; Macbeth; Top Hat; Bridges of Madison County' God of Carnage; Twelfth Night; She Loves Me; The Tempest This summer I was Children's Director and Associate Director to Sir Trevor Nunn on the smash hit musical of 'The Parent Trap', 'Identical', from the producers of 'Six'. I have directed several professional productions for the Young Shakespeare Company & run storytelling workshops for them around the country. I have also taught one-to-one and in drama schools including ArtsEd and Central School of Speech and Drama and at youth programmes such as BYMT, NYT, Stagebox, London Theatre Runway & Role Models. As a writer, my new pop-rock musical 'babies' is currently in commercial development with West End producers. I pride myself on getting the best out of people - performers, writers, students. I have an undergraduate degree from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Musical Theatre, and a Masters in Classical Acting and Shakespeare from LAMDA. After studying, I spent 5 years working and teaching in the US, and have experience in teaching Shakespeare, monologue and script analysis, audition technique, acting through song, drama school auditions and more. These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting.
