As a bilingual actor and singer with professional experience in musical theatre, live performance, television, and music projects in Mexico, the United States, and Spain, I also help students connect emotionally with songs, improve stage presence, and build confidence while performing in front of others. My vocal background includes training in musical theatre, jazz singing, gospel music, choral singing, contemporary music, and vocal coaching. Thanks to this variety of styles and techniques, lessons can be adapted for students interested in musical theatre, pop, contemporary music, jazz, or simply discovering and improving their natural voice. One of my biggest priorities is vocal health. Students will learn how their vocal instrument truly works, how to use it correctly, and how to sing safely without hurting themselves. Understanding your voice is just as important as developing it, and I make sure every exercise is done in a healthy and sustainable way. I believe every voice has potential, and every student deserves encouragement, patience, and a positive environment throughout their artistic journey. Acting is a variety of opportunities: it's playful, as an actor you can work in different fields, theatre, film, voice-over and radio. With children I love to jump into improvisations and see and guide where it goes to create something magnificent. Alongside my tutoring work, I am a professional playwright and theatre critic. I have studied theatre at the University of York, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and I am a member of the Soho Theatre Writers Group. My plays have been staged at the Edinburgh Fringe, York Theatre Royal and across Fringe venues in London. With my A/AS-Level Drama support classes, we will examine and explore the history behind a number of the key texts on the specifications for OCR, Pearson and EDUQAS: Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo Saved by Edward Bond In classes, we will look at the context in which these plays were written, the cultural impact they had and how to use this in essays to demonstrate your broader knowledge of the set texts. Aside from the plays themselves, it is important to understand the wider world of theatre. We will look at the plays of Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet and Theatre of the Absurd for Dario Fo. The history of Theatre censorship and the Royal Court Theatre is crucial to understanding Edward Bond's Saved. This class will give you the opportunity to explore these complex texts with a practising playwright, and the expanded knowledge of these plays will give you that edge when it comes to the exam.

I am a music, singing and drama teacher, based in London, with a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Northern College of Music. I have 12 years of teaching experience in 1-1 and group settings for ages 4 to 18, with a number of my students gaining West End success. I have taught a range of exam syllabuses and genres, including ABRSM, Trinity Rock & Pop Vocals and Classical Singing, LAMDA Musical Theatre, LAMDA Acting and LAMDA Verse & Prose. I am a Vocal Health First Aider, which means I have an understanding of vocal health and the factors that can affect vocal wellbeing.

As an accredited LAMDA exams tutor, as well as a graduate of the LAMDA drama school, I am passionate about helping learners excel in LAMDA exams of all levels, at any age. There are many considerations for how one performs - from comprehensive theory and how it manifests to the physical connection between the body and mind. In our lessons we will take an individualised approach; some actors struggle with confidence, others with emotional connections, most with sincere relaxation. For the more cerebral actors, understanding the theory behind the motive helps internalise its necessity. Simplicity is a great form, but only when assumed knowingly. As for myself, I have 11 years' experience in the field - 7 professionally - spanning theatre, commercials, musical theatre, and dance. I've performed in numerous theatres across the UK (as well as Cyprus) and have been featured in a number of international commercials.

For those with aspirations in the acting profession Drama School is an invaluable resource. However, application numbers are incredibly high and places are few. The learning and growth that can be achieved on these programs in inaccessible unless you can gain one of those coveted spots. What you can expect me to help with: - Practical working of speeches. - Verse speaking technique. - Voice work (inc. breath support, articulation, range, resonance etc') - Suggested pre-audition vocal warm-ups. - Advice on speech choice. - Guidance on audition procedure About me: I have trained across a range of disciplines, studying clown and physical comedy at Ecole Philippe Gaulier before completing the 3-year training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where I received The Cormac Richards Young Actor Award for outstanding performance. Past students include Oliva Coleman, Jeremy Irons and Daniel Day-Lewis. Since graduating I have worked with Full House Theatre; guest-starred on an episode of BBC1's Doctors; played Toby Belch and Sebastian in a production of Twelfth Night with the Orange Tree Theatre, and played Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol with Half Cut Theatre. Most recently I've been back at the Orange Tree playing Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
