My lessons are primarily for adults. You can be needing a coach for an audition or a full production, maybe you want to find that spark again by trying a different method, or you might want to try acting out, great! I can adjust to whatever you need. My lessons are at least an hour or more. I have a vocal/light physical warm-up that I like to do at the beginning of subsequent lessons. I remember one of my first teachers saying "An actor should be a blank canvas." And this made sense at first. So I went up on our small stage to do a monologue and it was terrible. My teacher said, "Kamil, you didn't really do anything." "Well, yeah? I am a blank canvas" As a neurodiverse person, I am overanalytical, literal, incredibly anxious and have difficulty speaking with full confidence. However, my Master's level education from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School has given me a toolkit where I can work towards placing my self-doubt and uncertainty behind 'The Work.' The Work is the hours you've spent in the text, the pencil markings in the script, the crinkled pages from taking it in and out of your backpack. It's the objective truth that you can rely on when your self-awareness doesn't want you to be the character, when you can feel an audience member looking at you, when the person behind the camera laughs at something you didn't inherently think was funny. It's your character's lifesaver. For those that may require more structure when they receive text, I can help you deconstruct that overwhelming building into its key components. Whether it's from a play you've been newly cast in, a voiceover script you can't wrap your head around, or just a simple self-tape, we can work to break down text that lets BE that blank canvas on the day, but you know what paints you've used, what strokes you can utilise, you know the feel of the paintbrush from all the canvases you've practised on. Also, it's a good way to memorise lines. And that's just a nice bonus.

About me: I am a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a Master's in Musical Theatre Performance. I teach drama, acting, and singing at two different arts academies in Glasgow. I have several years of professional performance-based experience which includes Radio City Music Hall, singing LIVE on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and multiple professional concerts/cabarets. Student experience: Music and singing should be for everyone to enjoy. Together we can focus on technique, repertoire, or simply how to sing healthily for fun. My classroom is a safe space to experiment and grow your love of singing. First lesson: In our first lesson we'll focus on some easy vocal warm-ups/exercises so I can assess your skill level. Acting is all about embodying a different character. Be that someone you relate to or a person that is the antithesis of yourself, being able to portray that difference is the core of performance. I believe in the importance of utilising the strengths a person has as an individual to further propel their acting. In this class, I will give you persoanlised feedback and performance direction for whatever role you're playing. This can be used for self tape help, monologue/duologue work, theory, etc. The end result will be a stronger performance that you are able to feel more fluid in performing.

Singing is an important skill whether you are a beginner looking to build confidence or a seasoned performer looking to retain good technique. We will build on techniques from the 'life after estill' principles. This will be subtly incorporated into the lesson and you will find that breathing and projection will improve quite quickly. This class is suitable for anyone of any age.

As an actor myself, I know how scary auditions/Drama School auditions can be. With each school requesting different skills and monologues, it can be hard knowing what works well for you as a performer and what will show you off the most. As someone who has been through the process and was successfully offered places at East 15, Lamda and Alra, I would now love to be able to support others through the journey During my lessons, we will focus on your Classical and Contemporary monologues while exploring the best audition techniques for in person or self tapes. I can answer questions, help you find the right scripts for you and support you through the process.

I have over four years experience as a self-employed tutor, specialising in the tuition of English language and literature. Alongside my tutoring work, I am a professional playwright and theatre critic. I have studied theatre at the University of York, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and I am a member of the Soho Theatre Writers Group. My plays have been staged at the Edinburgh Fringe, York Theatre Royal and across Fringe venues in London. With my A/AS-Level Drama support classes, we will examine and explore the history behind a number of the key texts on the specifications for OCR, Pearson and EDUQAS: Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo Saved by Edward Bond In classes, we will look at the context in which these plays were written, the cultural impact they had and how to use this in essays to demonstrate your broader knowledge of the set texts. Aside from the plays themselves, it is important to understand the wider world of theatre. We will look at the plays of Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet and Theatre of the Absurd for Dario Fo. The history of Theatre censorship and the Royal Court Theatre is crucial to understanding Edward Bond's Saved. This class will give you the opportunity to explore these complex texts with a practising playwright, and the expanded knowledge of these plays will give you that edge when it comes to the exam.

I am a music, singing and drama teacher, based in London, with a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Northern College of Music. I have 12 years of teaching experience in 1-1 and group settings for ages 4 to 18, with a number of my students gaining West End success. Movement for actors. This class explores Laban fundamentals to develop movement ability and application, providing an understanding of the influential movement system and how it can enhance your physicality and performance. We can work on a full understanding of the Laban system or actor movement coaching for specific work. Extensive experience teaching with organisations such as LSDA and Central School of Speech and Drama.

I teach from drawing art, to drama to producing music, to singing to acting and animation. You will learn theory and practical techniques and skills to further your knowledge and ability in the various subject. Homework will be provided to ensure student is learning.
