Hello! I am offering tailored tuition in Drawing, Printmaking, sketching, Portfolio preparation and advice. I am a friendly practicing artist and printmaker with a degree in Fine Art and experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities. I have experience as a University Print technician where I would give practical workshops to students from Illustration and Fine art as well as more tailored one-to-one guidance. Whether you are looking to hone your skill or start developing a new one I can offer tuition tailored to what you want to work on. I am also available to offer advice on portfolio preparation and development for application to Art Schools/University at both Postgraduate and Undergraduate level. Having been through the entire undergraduate process and now going on to start a postgraduate degree in a London Art school I can offer advice on statements and interview preparation too. What I can offer: -Printmaking (with or without access to printmaking facilities) basic thru to advanced and critical/practical advice -Drawing (technical skill, line quality, training the eye, from life, utilisation of different media and techniques) -Sketching (Field sketching with various materials, sketching as research) -Portfolio and interview advice. -University sketchbook development, advice and constructive critique. -Classes for younger makers who want to try something new within print or drawing. An online educator with a proven and solid track record in the field of architecture and design who applied constructive and effective methods of teaching; effectively communicated the value of architectural design in the mental, emotional and social well-being of a person; stressed the importance of an environment which invites peace, calmness and relaxation which can be achieved by putting together different elements and practices in design, lighting and structure. What's the biggest piece of advice you'd give to parents and students in communications and/or entering the Architectural industry? Responsibilities: • Provided student counseling on architectural course and program selection, time management, truancy, study habits, and career planning. • Helped students adjust to the school environment and improve their personal, social and behavioral aspects. • Documented student’s problems affecting their educational and vocational studies, and raised them on parent-student association meetings. • Maintained accuracy and confidentiality of student records and data in compliance with the by-laws, district policies and administrative regulations of the state and the school. • Provided professional crisis intervention to students to help them overcome difficulties. • Discussed student’s progress and problems in their architectural classes with parents and guardians. • Encouraged students to pursue careers in architecture to help the country establish strength in design. • Observed and evaluated students’ performance, behavior, social development, mental and physical health. Professionally, I have been involved as a project architect for the design firm and development business in Europe, the USA, and the Middle East, I have worked on Architectural Design, Urban Design, and landscape design for commercial, and residential projects. I have focused on how physical design can alter social behavior in differing neighborhood block patterns. I have also explored alternative mixed-use patterns that further advances sustainability on a social and economic level.

In this ongoing Art & Wellbeing For Kids course, students will engage in exercises in drawing, painting, collage, and more. These art projects will develop their artistic abilities, while helping them develop tools to maintain mental wellbeing. Your student will create art that they're proud of, and along the way learn tools to express their emotions, reflect on their feelings, and build their confidence. All abilities and skills are welcome! This class should leave your student feeling accomplished and relaxed each week. The art projects I lead are specifically designed to develop self esteem, self reflection, a diverse emotions vocabulary, and resilience. My teaching methodology is a unique blend of teaching technical art skills with a focus on reflective processes. The creative process helps children express themselves in a non-verbal medium that reflects their emotional state. Engagement with the arts has also been proven to increase confidence and self esteem. I cultivate a safe and supportive learning environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing with the group. In each live class meeting, I will go step-by-step through the art project. Students will have the chance to ask me questions if needed and also have the chance to share their artwork with the class once it is complete. Students are encouraged to work within a dedicated sketchbook to create a portfolio of artwork. Students can join this on-going class at any time and will begin working in their sketchbook during their first class with me. Students will have the opportunity to interact with me during class for support as needed, as well as talk and share with other students.
