Trusted teacher: Struggling with SATs pressure? I help Year 6 students master Maths and English with structured, exam-focused support—no stress, just progress. What We’ll Cover: ✅ Maths: Tackling problem-solving, arithmetic fluency, and reasoning questions step by step. ✅ English: Strengthening comprehension, grammar accuracy, and structured writing. ✅ Exam Skills: Time management, question breakdowns, and avoiding common mistakes. First Session Plan (60 mins): 🔍 Diagnostic Check (15 mins): Review your child’s recent work (or a practice question) to identify: Key strengths (e.g., strong mental maths, creative writing ideas). One priority area for quick improvement (e.g., multi-step word problems or inference questions). Live walkthrough of a targeted strategy, e.g.: Maths: "How to decode word problems using the ‘What do I know?’ method." English: "Turning bullet points into full, high-scoring answers." ✏️ Guided Practice (15 mins): Your child applies the technique with real SATs-style questions—immediate feedback, no pressure. 📌 Post-Session Takeaway: Personalised summary (e.g., "Top 3 SATs tips for fractions"). Practice snippet to reinforce learning. Why This Works: ✔ Exam-Board Aligned: Follows National Curriculum standards for SATs. ✔ Gap-Focused: No generic lessons—we target your child’s hurdles. ✔ Stress-Reduced: Clear methods > cramming. Builds confidence and marks. For Parents: Transparent progress updates. No prep needed—just bring any recent work (or nothing at all).

Trusted teacher: Hello! I am a bilingual English teacher (English/French), with a dual Anglo-Belgian background and extensive experience teaching English at all levels. Having grown up between Belgium and England, and having continued my studies in the United Kingdom, English is not only my mother tongue, but also a passion that I share with enthusiasm and rigor. For over 7 years, I have been helping students improve their comprehension, expression (written and oral), pronunciation, and confidence in English — whether for academic, professional, or personal goals. -- Teaching Methods -- I offer dynamic courses, adapted to your level, your needs and your learning style: • Tailor-made Courses: Individualized program, with varied supports: dialogues, articles, videos, practical scenarios. • Focus on Speaking and Confidence: Helping you express yourself with ease and naturally, without fear of making mistakes. • Grammar and Vocabulary in Context: Approached in a clear and functional manner, always linked to real situations. • Exam preparation: TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge, Baccalaureate... I support you methodically and efficiently. • Constructive Feedback: I help you progress with kindness, by clearly explaining each point to improve. -- Professionalism -- I ensure that I create a structured, motivating and respectful learning environment: • Punctuality and preparation of each session • Careful monitoring of your progress • Constant adaptation according to your feedback My goal is to help you speak English with confidence and enjoyment, developing strong, lasting skills that you can use in your studies, travel, or professional life.

Trusted teacher: Hello my name is Audrey! I'm a student in international relations and Chinese foreign languages at INALCO. Because of my studies and having traveled a lot, I know how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language and how difficult it can be to overcome certain levels and to be confident in a language that is not our mother tongue. That's why I offer you my help! I am a French native from Poitou Charente. I traveled all around the world when i was a teenager and a young adult especially in Asia. Now i'm finishing my studies in Paris. For several years, I have been teaching English to children and adults of all levels. I have accompanied Koreans, Iranians, French etc. My goal is that you enjoy learning English and reach your goals. The course will be totally personalized and adapted to your needs and interests. I will also introduce you to the culture during our lessons (current events, highlights of the year, etc.) because in order to learn a language you need to understand the culture of the country. My classes will focus on the five skills: speaking, writing, listening, reading and grammar. Of course, if you wish to work on only one aspect in particular, this will be possible. We can use the material you have or we can also work with the resources I have. At your request and according to your needs I can give you homework to continue your efforts outside of our classes. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I will be happy to discuss with you your expectations, your goals and my work method. I look forward to helping you in your quest to master the English language.

Dembane

Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.

I'm very happy with my Son's first English subject session with Denise. She was engaging, though-provoking, positive, professional, and had purpose and structure to her lesson which held my Son's attention in a subject he struggles with. Overall, he very much enjoyed his first session and looks forward to many more with her therefore, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Denise with helping children in the English subject.

Anusha is very nice and is able to teach at a good pace and makes sure that you understand all the materials you are working on. She is also able to adapt her teaching styles to your needs and has a lot of good tricks to help you learn how to do different things. She also makes sure that you know how to do something and does not just give you the answer when you need help. Anusha is a great teacher.
