French lessons. Text methodology. Commentary. Essay writing. 10 years of experience. Non-academic teaching.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I offer you a new learning experience. Academic success, even at the university level, is determined by the ability to understand and write different types of texts. I offer courses that will allow you to overcome the difficulties you encounter in reading or writing by giving you the text-writing toolkit that school, unfortunately, doesn't provide. I myself had to build this toolkit over the years at university, and I will gladly share it with you so that you can succeed. Here are the different points that my offer covers: READING Guided reading Effective reading strategies Text theory (structure, function, typology...) General knowledge Communication Theory PRODUCTION Reformulation Summary Reading log Accurate Text analysis Characterization Interpretation Text explanation Text commentary Dissertation Essay Comment Argumentation You can take a full course with regular sessions or one-off courses to do specific work such as writing a reading summary. Lessons can be taken individually or in groups. The methods are flexible to adapt to each individual case. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning pace; encourage their creativity; to awaken his curiosity; to forge a friendship with the texts During this first lesson, you can get a solid idea of my teaching style. I look forward to meeting you.

Help with Modern Languages dissertations (English, French, Spanish) including Linguistics (Theory and Applied)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Help with Modern Languages dissertations (English, French, Spanish) including Linguistics (Theory and Applied)Translate this text using Google Translate.

May and June 2026: In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others). I have supported dissertation and thesis students from 2005, as well as granting informal help while I was a postgraduate student of Linguistics at UCL (this includes Institute of Education, 2000-2005). In essence, I can offer help because I have gone through this requirement myself (Aix-en-Provence for French BA, Berlin for Linguistics). Former students have requested this support for: Italian, French, Spanish and Linguistics & Phonetics. Outcomes: BA MFL students have progressed to an MA after their final year of study, or attained Firsts at Cambridge (and proceeded to a career in the City). As summers are now a challenge, and the dissertations need to be in by September (at least in England) I can help you with both your writing, research and oral exam. The year abroad really comes to an end in August, the worst time to be thinking about writing and research. I cannot change the weather but can make your path to a good degree smoother.

Sick of traditional lessons? Learn French the fun way!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi! I offer private French lessons with a fun and engaging approach, tailored to your interests and learning style. Instead of rigid classroom structures, I focus on “edutainment” – learning while having fun! Since you already have some basics, we can explore various immersive methods: • Cooking a classic French dish while learning vocabulary • Discussing topics that interest you • Analyzing French songs, movies, or books (I often recommend Le Petit Prince – simple yet meaningful) • Practicing real-life conversations, including romantic phrases or modern slang (“largo”) • Learning typical French expressions and their English equivalents • Using creative tools like post-it notes, interactive exercises, and everyday scenarios Each lesson is designed to help you absorb grammar and conjugation naturally, making learning intuitive and enjoyable. My goal is to ensure you gain confidence in speaking and understanding French through practical, real-world usage. There are so many ways to learn—if you have specific preferences, we can explore them too! 🧒 I also offer French classes for children and toddlers, using playful and hands-on methods inspired by the Montessori approach. Through games, songs, sensory activities, and storytelling, little ones can discover the French language in a warm, nurturing environment that respects their rhythm and curiosity. 📍 Recommended frequency: At least 2 hours per week for steady progress – but this is flexible depending on your needs. 📍 Flexible scheduling: Available during the day or in the evening, as I’m a freelance journalist. I offer individual lessons, but we can also have group lessons. If you’d like to start, we can arrange a first session to assess your level and set up a learning plan that fits your goals. Let me know what works for you! Looking forward to helping you on your French journey! ☺️

School French, French for DELF exam, Math for SchoolTranslate this text using Google Translate.

School French, French for DELF exam, Math for SchoolTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Struggling to find a tutor who truly gets you and how you learn best? Let’s work together to discover strategies that match your interests and help you succeed! Hey! My name is Sophie, and I’m here to help you master French and math with ease and confidence. As an MSc Management and Strategy student at LSE and a graduate of a bilingual Russian-French school, have a deep grasp of these subjects, allowing me to tailor lessons to your unique needs. I’ve had the rewarding experience of teaching extracurricular French classes to middle and high school students at my former school, and I also have experience tutoring math. Whether you're aiming to boost your conversational skills, improve grammar, or strengthen math fundamentals, my blend of subject knowledge and teaching experience will guide you on your journey to success. My tutoring approach prioritizes patience, clarity, and a tailored teaching style that adapts to each student’s unique learning needs—whether in French or math. When tackling complex French grammar, like the distinction between passé composé and imparfait, I simplify concepts into relatable terms. For example, I liken passé composé to a snapshot—capturing completed actions, while imparfait is more like a video, showing ongoing or habitual actions. Using everyday examples like “J’ai fini mes devoirs” (I finished my homework) or “Je lisais chaque soir” (I used to read every evening), I make these tenses practical and easy to understand. In math, I apply the same approach by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, layering in theory and real-life applications to build problem-solving skills progressively. My aim is to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, exploring new concepts that are not taught in school, and refining their skills in math or French. Ultimately, I am dedicated to empowering my students to not just pass exams but to communicate confidently in French and tackle math challenges with ease, equipping them with the tools and confidence they need . Let’s embark on this learning journey together!

“ Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended. ”

“ We had our very first lesson with Valentin yesterday and I have decided to continue developing my skills in French language together with him due to various reasons... First of all Valentin has all the required communication skills which makes him a desirable teacher together with his kind and friendly approach. Moreover from the very first session he started to build a structure on which we can work on together. He also seems to be a good observer who can detect and correct the mistakes I make as well as providing me the right knowledge in order to improve my French as we proceed together. I would recommend Valentin if you need assistance with learning French at any level. ”

“ Bonjour to the one's who are seeking for a French Language teacher on Apprentus, Likewise you, I have also gone through the process of finding a (good) teacher, and I also did read about two days long the reviews given to the teachers. And finally, decided to take the course from Remi. I have to admit that I do not regret at all. Remi has a very positive attitude, patient, flexible and he does his best to bring over his knowledge to the best with lots of exercises and conversations that helps the best to improve your level of knowledge. Shortly, I believe that you will be very pleased with your decision if you take the course from Remi. I strongly advise. Bonne courage. ”
