Your great aunt (or your grandfather perhaps) provided you with information about this famous noble ancestor from whom the family is said to descend and you would like to know a little more about this illustrious character about whom you have been told to confirm these statements? Or, you simply have no reliable information on your ancestors beyond your grandparents and you would be interested in being able to name your great-grandparents, find out where they lived, what jobs they did, or perhaps even know their favorite hobbies (we can indeed discover a lot of information about our ancestors thanks to a little more in-depth research). It is also possible that you find yourself at an impasse in your research and that you would appreciate the help of an outside person: when you are very involved in your genealogy, it is sometimes useful to have a neutral person who can help us. helps with the necessary perspective to see things more clearly and unblock a complicated situation. In this course, I offer you an immersion in your family history which will allow you to know your ancestors better, but also to know yourself better. “When you do not know where you are going, look where you come from” (Proverb African). During our meetings, we will work on the necessary and essential steps to discover your family roots and create, little by little, an exciting and fascinating family tree that you will be proud to present to your family and friends! It has been more than 25 years since I first became interested in the history of my family, because I had heard (as is often the case) a somewhat “fantastic” anecdote about a famous ancestor! Asked by a relative, I planned to verify this information. And this is how my passion for this discipline was born, which I practice on a daily basis personally, or to help clients better organize their research and go from surprise to surprise! It was during the 2020 confinement that I undertook graduate training in genealogy. Of Irish-USA-Canada and Swiss origins, my two main working languages are English and French. It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class.
